Lol awesome thanks for the heads up.
I have a question for everyone who’s got one of these already.
When you activate the turbo buttons, the rows of lights light up the same as the button layout?
For examble
Buttons:
X X O X
Lights
X X O X
If I turned turbo on the one button (O) does the light match up in the same location or would it light up in the wrong place like this?
Buttons
X X O X
Lights
X X O X
I’ve never used turbo but I want it too look right if I change button wiring to match a normal TE stick.
If anyone could check that out for me I would appreciate it very much.
im just gonna switch the QDs on the buttons so i dont have ot mess with it
I am too, but I like when my stuff works properly, even when I don’t plan to use it.
its not that it doesn’t work properly. its that Madcatz switched the button layout for MvC2. They most likely used the same turbo panel that was used in R1 and R2 TE sticks. I doubt they would make a new turbo panel just for a different version of the TE stick.
If you want it to be “perfect” then just switch the QDs back to the original TE button layout.
The deal was too good to pass up. It’s so nice =D
Nice to have another upscale arcade stick for such a good price.
I’m thinking my question isn’t clear enough.
Can someone just check this for me? On an unmodified MvC2 stick, turn on turbo for the top row of buttons. Does the top row of lights on the panel light up or is it a mix of top and bottom lights?
Wait…they light up??
I understand what you’re getting at, but they did make it so that the lights match up correctly. For instance, when you enable turbo on lb, it lights up the third button from the left on the top row of leds.
i juss picked up mine from gamestop :-), u cant beat the price and if u dont like the artwork its an easy change
I picked up 2 today. I’m retiring my original 2 round1 sticks to use as dedicated sticks built into my cabinet.
I now have 7 TE sticks LOL
are these sticks wireless. how long do they last? ^^ let me get one of those from you.
no they are not wireless, and they are good quality sticks
Thanks man, I think I’m either going to trade mine in for a round 2 or I’ll have to re-wire the turbo panel (if possible). Drives me nuts when things are off like that.
Wireless sticks = fail.
Just bought it. So nice.
My wife is going to be pissed b/c I just bought TvC and the fightstick for the wii, and a JLF and buttons. But I have a feeling that this is going to find its way into the apartment some way tomorrow if I find one. That price is way to good to pass up.
I just bought one of these yesterday to replace my previous stick which is becoming unreliable. I gotta say these sticks are fucking great, I only wish I still had some button plugs to get rid of the last two buttons as they just get in the way.
Well I got one today, wife wasn’t too mad about it, lol! But when I took it out of the box I could hear something rattling around on the inside, and the noise was irritating me. So I went to Lowe’s and picked up some hex keys, locktite, and a hot glue gun just to be on the safe side not knowing what was rolling arournd on the inside. It was a screw, doesn’t go to anything, just an extra screw. Has anyone else noticed anything like that on any of the TE’s?
Lol it’s cause she’s on the verge of giving up! Jk jk
I’m sure things are going to happen like that every now and again, but i’ll say this, you’re pretty brave to take apart a NEW TE stick ha ha.
