I recently got the Japanese Kokishi MvC2 arcade and PS2/Xbox stategy guides, and I know there’s at least a third American Prima guide.
Was there ever any “bible”/technical guide released? I’m interested in pushing that data into the wiki if I can find it - otherwise this stuff gets lost to time.
The Kokishi arcade guide is mostly moves lists and some commentary about the characters. It has one page per character (lame) and about 18 pages of interesting bonus art.
The Kokishi PS2/Xbox guide has two pages per character and adds “character combo type” (hunter, magic, etc), two strong combos per character (Amingo’s infinite, Magnus’ 3 Tempest combo), and some basic commentary.
Neither has technical data / numbers - I might dig this stuff up from Joo’s stuff, but it’d be tight to hear somebody’s already put it together.
Dude cracks me up just thinking about his giddy, laughing yoga style brand of hype.
I’ll contribute 20 bucks to the fund towards convincing someone to translate this stuff.

At one point I had a huge list of JP mvc2 sites from when we were trying to translate Joo’s data. I’ll try to poke around and get as much of it back as I can…
As for the availability of an “All About” or “Bible” guide, I actually kinda doubt it-- I can’t recall ever seeing scans of hitboxes or anything like that. It seems like by now we would’ve seen it if its out there.
