i only went to jillians yesterday not Nathan’s. i only played about 5 people and only one of them was able to beat me. i was surprised i even won a game since i haven’t played cvs2 at an arcade for about 2 months.:evil: i spent $20 on one of those cards and only 2 people played me more than just two games . . . (sigh) disappointing. well the next time i play will be wed. at stony brook, maybe there’ll be more comp.
i might go back to jillians again today . . . around 2pm . . .i’ll post if i go or not, so if u wanna play come by

So you finally dumped Guile. His assist was annpying but his point game was lacking. Now tell me how The Mummy can combo into the big ass coffin.
Once Sentinel drone assist hits opponent, start performing super (HK,LP, D, LK, HP) and it’ll connect. It’s better to prime a combo into Sentinel assist first.
You can also cancel it as follows… Captain Commando on point, corner opponent, punch the ground (don’t know what that move is called D,DB,B+P) go into the Captain’s Sword, then HK,LP, D, LK, HP.

which Nathan’s do u go to? i go to the one across from the source mall . . .am i going to the wrong one? i went yesterday, i lost one and i beat the 2 people i played against. i spent about two hours at jillians and beat everyone who played me. where is the comp.?
oh yeah i have another comment . . . y do people just stand around and watch u play? I was playing mvc2 at nathans and cvs2 at jillians a lot of people just stand around and watch me play and i think that after seeing me play the decided not to jump-in because they would’ve lost . . .maybe i should tone it down when i play the computer, whenever i play a newbie i try not to take advantage so i usually destroy them in the beginning and let them come back a little . . . i’m assuming that u guys are basically pro’s at mvc2 and i consider myself a mediocre player (i quit playing for a year and now i’m playing it again), i don’t think there is any reason y i should be winning like i do. 99% of the people who play mvc2 REALLY know how to play the game, newbies don’t bother to play anymore because it’s to fast for them and they don’t like all the combos. 0.5% of people playing mvc2 are like me, they used to play mvc2 but switched to cvs2 but since there is no comp. they are forced back to mvc2 just to have some competition. the final 0.5% are some newbies who still think they have a chance to play but end up losing in about 20 sec. Now when i went to Nathan’s (across from the source mall) i played against people who i would consider to be really good at the game ( i figured this from the characters they chose and not the way they played). One guy i played had a team of magneto, blackheart and i can’t remember the last person, i lost to him once then came back and beat him and the thing is he only played one game!! now after seeing the way he played it’s obvious he knows how to play magneto and that meant long hours of practice but at the end i guess he was about the same level i am. I don’t know, maybe i don’t give myself enough credit, maybe i’m a way better player than i think i am but i would at least like to check it out by playing some comp.
When i lived in hawaii u could go to the arcade everyday and there would be comp. and the thing is everyone was willing to spend $5-$10 on playing and it’s the same with cvs2. On a good day u could have about 15-20 people trying to play mvc2 and about the same # on cvs2, I myself spent most of my time playing cvs2 and the comp. was top notch. i usually spent $10+ playing cvs2 and that’s because there was really good comp. and it was worth it. Now maybe the reason y i’m all of a sudden playing so good at mvc2 is becuase i played some of the top players in hawaii and stepped my game up and the same for cvs2 (especially cvs2, i know my game has changed since playing in hawaii, my game has gotten way better) but i want some comp. even if it’s one person willing to spend $3 playing. I’m even thinking of entering some tournaments just to get some. i was looking at some results and a person who didn’t even play mvc2 ranked in the tournament so i’m a little tempted to enter one.
i’ll be heading up to stony brook today and i’ll be there 2morrow maybe there’ll be some comp there. okay i’m done babbling for now:mad:

dude i told you to im me, and ill go to jillians to face you…i dont read this thread every second, every time i went to jillians there was no comp and i think if you beat the arcade without losing a life you should get a free game…seirously if they had that i could sit there forever and it would be fun, cause i like their sticks and it would be good practice and i hate it how they reset the scores, cause i had 1 to 3rd with my name Art in it
Thaininja is right. If you want CvS2 comp in LI you’re better off contacting people from these forums and set up an appointment. Now MvC2 is different. There’s always people at Westbury Nathans (yes, you’re going to the right one) playing MvC2, but it depends on what time you’re there. Usually after 7pm the comp starts coming. You’ll most likely see Perry, Mexi Bros, or Ben.
It might suck now, but once the semester starts you’ll get PLENTY of comp at the union gameroom for both MvC2 and CvS2.
