There’s a bigger MvC2 scene than CvS2 in LI, so you’re going to get more action playing MvC2. As far as I know, Westbury Nathans is the “spot” to play MvC2 in LI. There is no CvS2 “spot” in LI yet, and this is why good CvS2 comp is so hard to find. So I suggest you to link up with someone from this forum, such as Thaininja, and create a CvS2 session.
Let us know the next time you are heading to Nathans and I’ll swing by there to say wassup. We will welcome any new LI players (that are not disgruntled:D ) with open arms.

aight don’t get me wrong i know how to play the game and i know the differences. it’s just that ever since cvs came out i stopped playing mvc2. i consider myself a pretty decent player i just haven’t played in a while. Does jillians at the source mall have cvs2? i was about to go there but wasn’t sure if it had the game.

And does anyone know of any arcades up by stony brook university? i’ll be going up there this week for placement tests, so i was wondering if anyone knew if there was an arcade with cvs2 or mvc2
jillians is so close to nathan i’m surprised you didn’t go…jillian is accually a pretty nice arcade but its also pretty expensive and i dont think there is a dress code, just dont go in shirt less or something or pants less…
but there is no age to get in…
and the sticks there are very stiff, before i didn’t like it but now i do because it makes doing short jumps very easy i can do a 100% short jumps on that thing while with my sticks tis more like 90% once inawhile i’ll do a regular jump when i was trying to short which sometimes works with or against me but it does make me unpredictable…
but whatever we need to play, i mean i need to play! it totally sucks with no comp, i can’t test out my new shit!

i just wanna say that today me and danne talked to the manager of the arcade at sports plus in hopes of resurecting MVC2. he was polite unlike omar lol. He agreed with me that Marvel vesus capcom was a hit at sports plus and i told him how many ppl were interested in the game now. It could be the spot in LI for street fighter games. I urge everyone to keep talking to those managers so that maybe something could be done, it will atract competition.
At one point, Sports Plus had ALL fighting games (SC, Tekken, A2 and A3, MvC1, MvC2)
Sux that new management is too lame to recognize how much business fighting games would bring in.
i wish someone would talked to the jillians manager to lower the points on cvs2 then that would be the shit…i like taking their stools to, you can play forever sitting on those…but i dont think it would work cause jllians is but i may hve to ask cause i’m gettind mad depressed for some comp…
They have an arcade IN the school at the Student Union. Unfortunately, they took away most of the games there but they still got MvC2 and CvS2 there. Are you gonna be going to school there, cause if you are, you’re gonna see us there like everyday.
yeah i’ll be going to stony brook. i’m gonna be staying on campus too. on wednsday i’ll be there for placement testing so i guess i’ll be playing some cvs2. i’ll try to go to jillians b4 the semester starts, I’ll let you know when i plan on going. Yeah, after a certain time (9pm?) there is a age and dress code. But before that time, you can just walk in with tanks, shorts, and sandals.

I want to organize another tourney before the semester starts. It’s going to be for either this coming Sunday or the next. I’ll see if I can host it at Jim’s again.

I think if we a lot of different people walk into sports plus requesting back mvc2 and telling them how much business it will bring in will probably work, we really need to start harassing them. No one plays Cvs2 at sports plus and it’s a nice machine too, they can easily get back mvc2, let’s try and get it back, we can do it :evil:
