Alright, I made sure to friend everyone in this week’s ranbat. So over the next two days I want to make sure to play ALL of you =]
We can try that. It’s been almost 2 months and I haven’t seen the number of matches I would like with it being ranbats. I’ll see what others say then update you guys by Monday.

No problem, my bad. I can do a better job at updating the results. It should be all up to date now.
I’m going to go with Toan’s advice and run this week’s low-tier as a trouney. I think 3/5, double elimination would provide even those who lose with plenty of matches.
I’ll post a real update tomorrow once I figure out how to set this up.

Oh, and any suggestions on how to run a tounrey are appreciated. I’m sure it’s quite easy but if you guys have any ideas in the next 24 hours or so I’ll try to incorporate them.
edit: For example, it looks like were’re going to have 19 competitors. 1 will get a by for the first round, but what do I do with the odd number of players left at round 3? (there should be 5 players at that point.) Roll a dice to see who gets a by?
buys are usually best seeded. in this case therimrattler has the best standing thus far. logical choice would be him but being seeded in a league like this doesnt really matter. random is great as well.
If you are going to do it double elimination, I could send you a bracket. The other problem with running a tournament is TIMING. I mean in the WWL it works because we’ve been doing it the same time every week for a month, we’ve figured out how to schedule games across time zones. If you need any help, I’ll provide any advice I can for a fellow league runner in need:party:

in the case that you have a 19 man double elim tourney, you would need to run a 32 man bracket. this means that almost everyone will get a bye. I have a tournament program that is easy to use if you are interested. I have run many online tourneys in the ggpo days and it works fine. It even does random seeding and bracket placement for you, all you need to do it enter the names of the people, then it creates the bracket for you. From there you just update according to who wins/loses and it does pretty much everything for you.

Thanks alot of the link, tharimrattler. I’ll certainly use it in the future, but right now I’m on campus and can’t really download software (I don’t think, at least.)

Sorry, rattler, it only made sense to give one person a bye so I gave it to toan (he had the most wins last week.) At the same time can you check to see if I made the winner’s bracket correctly? I’m more fuzzy on how to create losers… but that program will give me an idea of how to do it I assume?
Anyway if it looks good I’ll worry about making losers later today and I’ll send out PMs if you think this is a good start.
