MvC2: Joe Zaza teaches Wolverine

So this is the legendary lost Wolverine thread?! D=

Shit is better than I expected…

mvc2 noob

im sure anyone can answer this…what is the difference between wolverine and bonerine…does one do more dmg or something?

Lets see if I can help

I used to play with them.

  1. I believe bone claw wolvie is stronger and has longer range
(ex: bone claws vs adamantium claws). He might also have slightly
weaker stamina (not sure about that though, 2nd opinion?). He also
has a assist that hits low, very unique to bone wolvie.

  2. Adamantiuam wolverine has more supers and special moves and a different dive kick (D+HK, goes straight down, and bones goes at a angle X-men vs S.F style).

There might be more, but those are the main differences.
I hope this helps a little bit.:china:

On the assist that hits low…if you combine that with an overhead attack would that be unblockable b/c it hits high and low?

yes and yes, and I mean yes…

zaza does the unblockable on soo at the end of the match,
works wonders with sent stomping and bone wolvie low assist.

Both Wolverines have the same range on their normal attacks, despite their animations.

Bonerine:
-Faster dash
-Weapon X super becomes invincible if it makes contact with an assist
-Has the slide assist (gamma), which is the only assist in the game that hits low
-Does and takes more damage(?)
-Angled divekick
-Has different hitstun on crouching Fierce, so he can so low light kick, low medium kick, low hard punch xx berserker barrage xx Berserker Barrage X
-Drill Claw causes Flying Screen like regular Wolverine’s but can still combo afterward if close enough
-Standing/jumping medium punch cancels into itself more than once
-Assists based on normals (standing Fierce, standing Roundhouse, slide), BBX is only THC super

Metal Wolverine:
-Has Berserker Rage (speedup super) and Fatal Claw (air super)
-Has the teleport slash move (qcb+P)
-Divekick goes straight down
-Crouching medium kick knocks down
-Berserker Barrage has has quicker startup and longer hitstun (?)
-Assists based on special moves (Berseker Barrage, Tornado Claw, Drill Claw), will get BBX or Fatal Claw as THC super depending on assist chosen

Other than that there are some smaller differences- Bonerine’s standing Jab is 1 frame faster or has a slightly different hit box, or something like that.

Thanks for the replies…I appreciate the help…I just learned that I could look at all the posts for the very first one and I located a thread where the differences were discussed at. Even though the answers neo and TS gave were more in depth.
Did some practice today and getting the low assist and overhead to connect is NOT easy…especially on a 360 controller.

Is there any videos of people using wolverine in a pro match
