MvC2: Guard Breaks

ok i have a Q??with cable i know his old GB the old one we all know but i wanna do it with the one u shoot with the bulliet and then ahvb ok hre it goes-----------when the fighter is coming out u shoot once then u shot again then AHVB—the old one is shot then ahvb–i anna do the one with the other shot im not timeing it righ thz in ad 4 the help!!!ya know what im talking about

I must’ve jumped up fp before the airthrow or somthing, this game is b r o k e a s f u k

the best guard break ever is a cable grenade.

yea but do u know how to do the one im talking about?

theres only one way to do it:D

Yes, I know which gb your talking about. You see, when Cable jumps up and does a j.fp to break the opponets guard, the hit can be pushblocked (obviously). IF that happens, you (Cable) should rejump, j.fp, (which will break their guard) AHVB.

It’s not really “another” gb for Cable, but just a way of countering THEIR counter to you trying to gb them. Get it?

Cable actually does have several gbs, but i’m not fully sure on how they’re done. I think one is-throw grenade, (guard breaks) AHVB. Another one is j.fp (fairly close to corner) wavedash, d/f+fp, sj. ? I don’t know what happens after than, but I think it’s still possible to break their guard during the air combo. Wait…that doesn’t make sense. Maybe it’s just a regular air combo after…? Does anybody know how to do this gb properly?

I hope this helps you out

Re: Re: Re: Like I said, can you read

Cable’s crouching fierce guard breaks. But then again, his bullet might count as an air attack. I dont see how captain corridor counts as a real ground move though. If a ground move is considered a move while the opponent is on the ground, and cable’s c. fp wouldnt GB. But if a ground attack is an attack that touches the floor and your opponent at the same time… well that doesnt make sense at all. Can you clarify?

ok thx 4 the help

Just a regular GB into regular air-combo.

Can be easily counter-mashed.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Like I said, can you read

Unfortunately I can’t. Guardbreaks work so weird in general that I can’t say anything for certain. All I know is that usually, air-to-air attacks guardbreak.

Okie…confuzled

guard wha? Imma sound real dumb righ about now, but wdf is a gueardbreak ?

j.lp xx ad/uf xx apa works better midscreen

Here is a simple Rogue GB:

J.Lk, J. D+RH xx Power Drain

Also is there any good Cyclops GB’s into super? Is it possible to TK Optic Blast xx SOB?

Why guard break into a move that is unblockable?

The D + RH is not unblockable + you get a power up to start the fight off + After the Power Drain hits you can land, dash in FP on the big characters like Sent(this works on everyone if there on the ground)

Oh, the D + RH is what hits. I thought that plus the lk was all a part of breaking their guard.

My bad.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Like I said, can you read

You don’t have to be in the air. It really has nothing to do with positioning. It’s just that few people can attack and then hit the ground to follow up before the opponent hit’s the ground. Both ken and psylocke have gb’s that they use when on the ground (the actual gb hit).

iceman have any GB’s?

you can GB with supers as well… dooms air pink shit… to sents drons… timed right will GB…

A good example of it is jump, AHVB, land, AHVB.

It’s more of an insult than an actual strategic move.
