Sorry Matt, I think you caught it from me.

But on a side note, I think I figured something out…

So I had the Z virus, and I started experimenting…If

a) You play the game normally, and no ragequitting, everything is normal.

b) If opponent ragequits then they get reset to 0

c) If I ragequit, my system locks up and nothing seems to happen to opponent

d) I just logged out of XBL during a match with Eddie, and it reset my rating to 5000.

5000 seems such a nice round #, I wonder if this was some nice Capcom guy cutting me a break. I think I’m going to give ranked a rest for a few until this is figured out.

Yeah, we did play earlier… hmm, I’ll blame you then! I’m trying to chase the OCV achievement, but I don’t think there’s much point at the moment. If tu4ar.com is telling the truth, nothing I’ve done in the last few hours even counts :sad:

I have gotten at least one loss after a lockup caused by opponent ragequit, and as far as I can tell, every single time that I get the glitched Vs. screen/wrong character names bug/lockup (wrong character names, not wrong character sprites), I receive a loss.

I know it’s just a game, that’s why I’m saying for you to rage quit must mean you actually care about your record. I don’t care about getting the win. I don’t give a sh*t about my record, I just play cause the game is too much fun.

I don’t think it works that way in this game. Since I got back from vacation last week I’ve played probably 500+ games and got wins over lots and lots of people and their records weren’t reset.

Hey Viscant, try the logout trick. When I did it, it was against someone ranked (Eddie), and I was in the lead by a good margin. Before time ran out, I logged out of XBL, and upon returning it was reset to 5000.

It’s not about ragequitting, it’s about curing the Z-virus. I suppose those with the Z should stop playing ranked…which isn’t likely to happen.

ggs to everyone i played tonight. my last match was with neomagnus and my shit froze up. for some reason, when our storms came out, it was the cable sprite. every time we’d attack, it would do nothing but cable ground roundhouses :lol:
