Mvc2 for 80 bucks?! Get SERIOUS!

I was checking out the used ps2 games at my local game haven and I saw a mvc2 disc on sale for 79.99!

What the hell is up with that???

Its very hard to find

Thats why

Did you try thinking about it?
or just came straight here to tell us?

I got an X-Box copy off ebay for around 18/$36…

Is there any reason for such a steep difference?

Rarity.

Game isn’t licencesd anymore by Capcom and is out -of-production,but still has a high demand

Yeah, I thought about it, but wanted an excuses to use “Get SERIOUS” in a post.

I didn’t know the ps2 version was THAT rare. Time to put my copy on ebay and get some loot!

I also have two dreamcast versions as well. $$$$

The DC versions don’t sell for anything close to what the PS2 versions sell for, though.

Thats less than the price I remember.
Last year one of my friends was talking about selling a new PS2 MVC2 for $100 and I was like WTF! then I went on Ebay and they were going for $125.

I’ve seen some for $150+…

Crap.

150+?? I should’ve bought that copy then. :annoy:

isn’t the dc version the only version worth playing tho as far as being closest to arcade perfect? iave it for ps2 and it seems like they did a really shitty job on it compared to the dc version

Yeah, the DC is the most arcade perfect version, but they made much more copies of the DC version then the PS2/Xbox version.

I got my DC version for free.

I got my Ps2 mvc for about 20$. I win.

I got lucky and stumbled across a copy for the xbox for like $10 in a pawn shop, dude did not know what he had.

wth $150?

holy shit, time to sell my ps2 copy of mvc2

It’s that expensive because of the rarity of course, but also because one person will sell it for a high price and someone ends up buying it, then other people see that the person who sold the game got a lot of money off of it, so others do the same and sell it for a high price.

sometimes i to go into gamestops and ask the clerk for a used copy of marvel vs capcom 2, just to give them a good chuckle.

The X-Box version of MvC2 is FAR more rare than the PS2 MvC2 version (in terms of numbers of copies produced) but the PS2 version is far more in demand which is why the PS2 version is worth so much.
