I have both and what I mainly notice is that the XBox version actually runs much better than the DC version or the arcade version. DC and arcade have lag after Captain Sword, during many DHCs, and basically every time when there’s a load f crap on the screen. AFAIK the XBox version never ever lags.
This is both good and bad. If everybody started to play on XBox that would be the official version for sure. Since top players nowadays are used to the specific timings of every little laggy situation, I’d say that those characteristics from the XBox version are right for programmers and probably wrong for OGs.
XBox also have that feature where you may VC a character and both can get hit. It is a rare situation even in DC matches though. IMO, the XBox version is really good, and for the sake of new players who wouldn’t like lag that should be the version used as a basis for a possible re-release, even if some SRKers go wild about it.
You’re right. My point is that it is very rare to see top players doing suciidal Vcs against things that can really hurt both on XBox like AHVB. Maybe Vcs into Hail Storms pop up every now and then. Yet, from a casual gamer perspective, I’m pretty sure that a feature like that is much less annoying than the bi nber of situations where DC lags, not to mention blue screens, that we got used to tolerate. Just my opinion, of course
What top players have you seen playing on X-box? on DC/Arcade, players counter in against AHVB if Cable doesn’t have another meter to avoid dying to chip. It’s a situation that occurs quite commonly.
What Adam said. All of the top four and most high tier have supers that put you in constant block stun and would hit you if your VC wasn’t invulnerable. Mags Tempest, AHVB, Hailstorm, Super Optic Blast, Proton Cannon, and even Sentinel’s Orb Super do this.
The real question is, does it happen enough to be a problem? I personally have never seen this on any port.
On DC the situation you’re describing ocurred zero times in Sanford vs Yipes FT10 and in Chris S. vs Desmond FT7. In Cable matches this is way harder to find actually. Do you have a link with this oh so common situation happening often and changing the outcome of many games? I don’t even remember seeing that lately.
Also, like Brenton pointed out, this isn’t even common in the ports. I don’t know the formula, but it’s nothing like every VC equals death.
