I’ve been having “bad games” because my connection keeps cutting me off at random, especially in the evening. I’m almost at the point where I feel I shouldn’t even bother coming online.
Anyhow, got a whole bunch of hate messages from TheCanardian, KKA0S (as usual - he kinda hates my guts), xVPolankilloVx, CAPCOMGT, and d00ubleD. Heard of any of them?
bad games to NATURALxJUSTICE. this guy i guess randomly added Qevin Baest. so he joins our party and starts bragging about his rank. then he joins our lobby. it starts off by saying “you can’t beat me unless you use high tier” so he uses spiral/sent/cyclops. he beats one of my friends. then he plays Qevin. Qevin used Anakaris/dhalsim/sonson and it was a pretty bad beating. this guy started raging at kevin and us calling us almost everything u can think of then he deletes qevin and starts sending us messages then he sends qevin some nasty pics of himself, lol. you might wanna avoid this guy

legacy757 or something went to hayato on the char select screen…so I picked my ltier squad. dude then goes and instead picks team scrub. he RQs right at the “super combo finish” screen : / and RQs every game after
Man, ever since i came back to playin online boys been sending me threats about my guile/iceman. That shit is hella funny! I heard this 1 dude in the background bashing the hell out of his stick. Probably broke it over a lost. lol I mean they really think i dont know these match ups when they pick msp or thrax. So funny cause then they get ovced by iceman and ragequit but then come back to the room and try again. Wow, online makes me appreciate dc marvel so much. Dont have to deal with people sending hate mail and threats. Online marvel = 2 funny…

I’m trying to chill when I play online. Those guys have something wrong in their head: I’d nearly perfect them with high tier and they’d still be just roid rage crazy. I get bored playing serious: I love screwing around. =\
I’ve really learned to love the “mute” button. That and finding a new room where it’s more possible to just chill instead of be immersed in people’s antisocial behavior.
I hate it when people teabag, lose, and send a game invite after RQing.
Don’t even play if you counter my low tier with top tier, lose, and RQ.
But Preppy, haven’t you played professional players out in the real world before? I mean, it’s all a matter of perspective. For some of these people, they come online to “prove” themselves, whereas you and others have a better appreciation of why online matches can’t be taken seriously. I know it’s still no excuse for raging anti-social behavior, but I’m just sayin’. Players who have convinced themselves that they’re good from playing online with god tiers have a rough time facing the realization that they aren’t so good after all.
I come online to relax and have fun as well, but it is indeed very difficult. Even when I play people who are better than me and beat me every time, I could say “GGs” to them and still get hate mail as the reply. =/

Oh totally - that room was garbage and assholes. It was really jittery until Megaman died and maybe about half of Tron’s lifebar - I totally understand wanting to find a less laggy room. Iceman is fun. They had good things to say about your Blackheart. :tup:
Huh. Yeah. I guess that I’m spoiled because it’s pretty clear from hanging out with me in real life for ten seconds that I kinda enjoy life and have no beef with anyone. The only people that have purported to have a beef IRL with me are generally pretty fucked in the head. I guess I’ve watched people around me hulk up, but find it weird to be a target.
I think in the PNW we generally treat each other with respect. There’s been few instances of PNW players have beefs with anyone - except for Joe Bray, but he’s a loner and part of EMP so it’s not unexpected.
Yeah - I get bored playing high tier and so will screw around and then the 1-20 guy teabags and rqs. I’ve started just putting antisocial players on MUTE and studiously avoiding them. The guys playing runaway Storm against Amingo: I can marginally respect that, since I know I play all sorts of random teams to try to figure them out a little better. But the part where you get roid-ragey because somebody dared to pick Amingo - I just don’t get the lack of social skills.
Up here in Seattle, I know that I’m just not committed enough to ever dominate Kuan/Row/JMar/Thuong/Rattana/Dann/Theo/SamB/Drew, so am perfectly content not being the best in the world and merely casually enjoying a hell of a game.
