Ok now i’ve never been able to do akuma’s raging demon, or Dan’s suicide supermove. When trying to learn recently by looking at faq guides, such as on gamefaqs. It just made no sense!
I believe one of them said it was: Low-punch, low-punch, forward, low-kick, high-punch, for the raging demon. Not only did this NOT work for me, but it just seems “wrong” as there are no joystick motions mentioned. Makes no sense as every other supermove in the game requires a joystick-motion such as QCF.
So specifically, how the hell do you do these two supers with these characters?
I’d be grateful for any help please. I’m using the PS2 verison of MVC2 BTW.
Ok i finally did it. For some reason Dan’s was easier to do, and i got it about 10 times during training mode. Akuma’s was a whole lot harder but SOMEHOW and after much trying, i got it about 3 times before stopping.
Overall, Blehh! Not only do these 2 moves requires 3 supers, extremly slow-moving to grab opponent, but they are HARD AS FUCK to pull off. No way in hell could i do it against a real opponent outside the training mode. I see now why virtually NOONE resorts to these moves in battle, they’d eat ten-rocketpunches first before coming close…
Also yeesh, you’d think akuma’s raging demon would do more damage to justify the difficulty in pulling it off. But its no more damaging than Shuma Gorath’s Chaos demension! Forget that shit…
People don’t use that move because (believe it or don’t) Akuma/Dan are both bad characters in MVC2. There are plenty (IMO) of times that people use Raging Demons in Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike or Capcom Vs. Snk 2 (on top players no less), so it’s definitely not a universally bad move. It’s just not as practical as some other things (short, short xx shippu).
Hmmm i’d have to agree. Shame on me for posting a GOOD question about a well-known fighting game, in the “Fighting game discussion” board. God what a dumbass i am!
My apologies people, i mistakenly though this was the part of SRK that discussed fighting game related questions.
performs Raging Demon on self for my ignorance:wasted:
Akuma & Dan are pretty neat characters to use if one is looking to challenge himself. When i’m playing against newbies to the game, who hav’ent fully grasped all the dynamics of MVC2, i like to pick LOW-TIERS like Dan. To see if i could still win.
Anyway, those two supers would be cool to use if they weren’t so damned hard to do. The difficulty in pulling them off is what kills their appeal for me.
Akuma and dan are fun as hell to play, especially when you pair akuma up with doom and dan with storm. Dan has a glitch with storm where you do his explosion super as you DHC from storms lightning storm.
Um… methinks you’re confusing the word ‘forward’ for a medium kick. It’s forward on the stick, and you have to hold it for the last two button presses for easy results.
