• The game is SUPER early. So early that they probably shouldn’t have shown it off, but they wanted something big for PSX and Capcom Cup.
• The controls aren’t finalized.
• The roster is far from finalized.
• The graphics aren’t even finalized.
• No Marvel characters are off limits, but some may be limited to story mode and not playable.

Again, nothing first-hand, but that’s what I got from multiple people at PSX who spoke with Marvel and Capcom reps during interviews. Hopefully that quells some of the concerns people have. Wait until E3 or Evo for a better look at the game before you assume it’s not what Mahvel fans want.

Yeah, my gut says tomorrow will be Morrigan+Captain America. Capcom will reveal a female, and the majority of Marvel’s roster will be Avengers anyway. Really interested to see more about these Infinity Stones. That’s a major throwback to MSH. Kind of fitting we get a mishmash of both of the games from MvC Origins lol. I’m expecting something similar to Guilty Gear/Blazblue where the craziness comes from the characters themselves and not the system. We’ll probably have fun trying to optimize stones to characters and finding crazy tag combos.

If they didn’t want to show it at Capcom Cup because it was too early, why didn’t they just show off Akuma and the Season 2 characters? Or HD MvC3 for PS4? I hope that the game looks ENTIRELY different than what I saw in the trailer i.e a whole new art direction and no recycled animations. This is meant to be for next gen. So act like its for next gen.

At least we know that Mutants and X-Men can be a possibility for the game. I HOPE Wolverine, DP, Mags, Storm and Sentinel get in again as characters.

Also, this confirms my thoughts on the matter. Infinite isn’t even beta, AND its releasing in 2017? Expect a “last minute” delay for the game so that it releases early 2018. I do like that the game is TvC inspired and that the Gems don’t appear like they do in MSH, but are instead a thing you can just set like the grooves are in CVS2. It makes character synergy with your gem that much more important, not to mention team synergy.

Also, X for best LV3 in the series. It’ll be Nova Strike+keeping Ultimate Armor on as a permanent install super. Think like Necalli’s V-Trigger only MUCH more powerful.

2. if UMvC3 declines after the HD remaster release on PS4/XB1/PC

If they add in mutants, it’ll probably be in a way that still says FU to Fox. Probably emphasizing characters Fox isn’t using. Or at least different versions.
