Punk ass Cloud ain’t god tier according to the bitch ass Smash community, despite placing higher and being a more consistent presence than Bayonetta in tourneys.
Fuck Cloud. Only thing worse than Cloud players are sycophantic Capcpom sympathizers who defend Sigma as Day One DLC.

Tetsuro:
Wasn’t an insult, it was an observation.
The difference between now an then is that Capcom was putting out ten fold more games a year in the 90s than they are today. If they were putting out quality titles often and consistently it would be more more forgivable since they would be strained for time. Today though? It’s a clear reflection of how poorly they are doing and how desperate they are to put out a title cheaply that will make a profit. The last game they put out was SFV, which was preceded by Dead Rising; both tanked as far as sales is concerned, is it really so far fetched as to believe they are hurting.
The problem with this is that this doesn’t just apply to Capcom, but rather to just about everyone else in the industry.
We’re moving away from devs and publishers putting out a lot of games, to them putting out less, and then just pouring in more support (patches, DLC) for those games. There’s a reason why “games as a service” is a huge buzzword in the industry right now.

There’s a reason why “Fuck you, I won’t buy your shit then” has been my anthem for over half a decade.
Make a well-made, polished product, and actually pay people that can communicate with public, and watch the money roll in.
The shit really isn’t that hard.

Except the highlighted bit isn’t happening, which is why we’re seeing more games built around being expanded in the long run.

Tell that to Irrational Games and Bioshock Infinite.

would be even more amazing to have the general audience demanding nerfs for powerful tools found in game and then every char fighting in a wheel chair in the retail product
Oh…
That’s sorta the idea of a demo… get feedback of what works and what doesn’t.

In that case, we shouldn’t have a demo. MvCI should be allowed to launch as Marvel, have top tiers be top tiers with tons of busted stuff that should never get patched.

OKAY YES DEV WE GET IT YOU WANT MARVEL TO BE BUSTED AS ALWAYS THANK YOU
I’d rather have busted Mahvel than “Let’s take all the cool and fun stuff away that characters had early on and make everything boring”.
Yeah, I’d hate to play a game where I couldn’t do something similar to my old favourite busted strat in MvC2: get a life lead and then Gambit glitch. Without that, its just not Mahvel to me.

It’s not even about balance,
Do you remember that MVC build that had the footdive infinite?
Yer that shit had to go otherwise everybody would of been playing divekick untill Ultimate
There should be busted and sneaky shit, but everybody should have there own set of shit. Otherwise you’ll just have wasted slots,

yeah I understand what you mean but sometimes it feels Capcom goes way too much overboard
Marvel should be Marvel, no doubt.
But I wonder if the new Esports movement will neuter it going forward. I don’t have an issue with balance changes every now and then, but too much of it can be an issue.
