MVC Infinite Lounge: DLC Characters and Costumes launch Dec 5th

I don’t expect there to be any drastic changes to the visuals. Maybe some shaders and textures will change, maybe some things will get a bit more geometry. But overall I think this is pretty much what we’re getting.

they wanted a cinematic feel to it but i’m getting a action figurine sort of feel from it. hopefully the story mode can capture it best

Hype is an illusion dude, Those games you mentioned were decent “ideal retail products” unlike SFV and SFxT.

SFXTekken had all the hype combined of both USF4 and UMVC3 from promotion and visual. SFxTekken was even ported early to handheld. Capcom was too confident with there marketing strategy that fail.

UMVC3 and USF4 did manage to be re-released or either have a definitive edition(buggy initial port) because they were successful retail product by brand and content, Capcom was confident with USF4 and UMVC3 as a product for previous consumer reactions to it and not by marketing strategy, schemes or tactics.

Thinking about it, the only thing UMVC3 had more than SFV is an arcade mode. I guess SFV is so bad/unfun that the shortcomings are even more evident, and people just can’t ignore them.

I remember when Vanilla MVC3 launched without spectator mode.

They have that heros and heralds or whatever mode too. I’m sure marvel will drop something similar in infinite.

Also gallery mode is nice.

UMvC3 was also pretty definitively a cash grab, though. Rushed out the door before they lost the license.

I’m of the opinion that good fighting games cannot be intentionally built. You have to just accidentally make it and let people run with it.

It does dude, there are a lot of FG in the 90s from neo geo, KOF was a masterpiece from SNK. it wasn’t a random thing among those stuff, it was made to best the previous games and emerge among the other works.

One of the things I love about the Marvel series is imagining how things would look in play, then actually replicating (or attempting to) that in the lab. With MVC3, I was constantly thinking of various team combos/assists and wondering if they’d actually be possible. More times than not, they ended up being real. I’m already doing this with Infinite.

Gallery mode in UMVC3 is such a simple thing and I’m shocked that Capcom didn’t put that into SFV as an unlockable or something

Simple and SFV didn’t appear to align too much outside of gameplay.

Heroes and Heralds was alright. Tried to get all the cards but Captain Commando and Serpent could only be obtained in online play. And no one played that shit online. only found 2 fucking matches.

In Infinite, I would be fine with a Arcade, Story, Survival and (please God…) something like a World Tour mode from Alpha 3.
This made me realize that the console version of Alpha 3 has more modes than SFV. lol
