MVC Infinite Lounge: DLC Characters and Costumes launch Dec 5th

But competitive Marvel is singleplayer. Just ask Neo.

The Producer said Infinite will be rich on content once it’s released. I have no doubt they’re going to be serious when it comes to bringing in the casuals this time around.

Just found this today - https://www.twitch.tv/videos/117253445

Yipes was going in on EVO’s decision to put MVC3 as a donation drive instead of including it into the main lineup. Ranting for about an hour

That’s been going around esports sites such as PVPLive and even our own front page for some time now.

I love decent single player content like world tour or trials, I also love multiplayer like tournament mode, dramatic mode and league mode but i would be fine with the standard foundation as an always fix by starting from having just a decent arcade mode like SF3s, CVS2 and SFz3 then training and trials.

With what Injustice2 is showcasing now like armor stuff customization it’s like their going to the path of SFxTekken’s Gem System, I don’t think it would ever be better than MVCi’s Gem System that is more inspired by the brilliance CVS2’s groove system that may not be the best but it is the well appreciated by everyone than other FG mechanics.

The gear system doesn’t matter since the buffs and effects are turned off for tournament play.

I can’t imagine a random loot system being good for a fighting game, regardless of implementation. Every player should have basic access to the same tools in a fighter. It’s up to the individual player to use those tools better than his/her opponent.

Anyone heard about Capcom being at PAX East? I’ll be a live line to any Capcom panel I can attend.

Agreed, but the problem is with the implementation of the confirmation system/option that is more into motivating and encouraging gamers to be comfortable with the gear system making it a “default feel” with the majority’s perspective that would require them to adjust, violates and demotivate their *conditioned mindset *from their traditional usual experience to be involve in a competitive community, which is unlike UMVC’s Heroes and Heralds mode and SFz3’s World Tour.

What?!?

Having some real difficulty parsing this. Can you break it down?

it’s about the experience because the confirmation option is more favor to set the gear activated on by default, so it would cause alot of gameplay encounters to be more into using gears and not without them so at the same time gameplay experiences is more not into a tournament settings. As an example of activation is like Gem System of MSH that requires each players to hold start at the same time to deactivate Gems mechanics which is not a default gameplay experience for arcade goers that have split/individual arcade units therefore more likely those that play with split/individual arcade cabinets would be more exposed to it activated, so probably it would be more enjoyable to those that are used to it as a default.

Doesn’t matter because it’s still going to be the competitive standard. People gonna see high level and tournament vids without gear and they’re going to understand that that’s the proper way to play. Just like with Overwatch where it used to be that hero stacking with multiples of the same hero was the default but competitive didn’t have it. Everybody realized that no hero stacking was the proper way to play.

Dunno about Overwatch, I know it’s few characters and it’s not an FG no farther than that.

Agree and that’s the advantage of MVCi to standout against Injustice2 in terms of accessibility perspective, because of not being direct to the supposed standard of gameplay experienced, it gives gamers a very different requirement/obligation to adjust/change their mindset to compromised to a very different gameplay experience than just the simply the traditional being good and better with their skills.

Same “default” concept. Overwatch’s first option is a “Quickplay” option that puts you in an unranked match with the default ruleset, which included hero stacking.

That said, the tournament ruleset in ranked with no hero stacking was pretty much accepted as the correct way to play so they changed Quickplay to have the same rule.

But the point is, the competitive ruleset, the one people will see being played in tournaments, will be the one people consider as the “proper way to play”.

Not familiar with those stuff in Overwatch, but really those procedures isn’t healthy as a method for user experience and users interaction in design perspective, because it trains the mind to be comfortable with set of rules in a certain default and constant wide environment were the earned/attained/invested betterment is realize as an illusion or just an attraction to begin with and the latter given a restriction is to compromised with a different niche that managed by chance to get more exposure to the supposed correct standard way. While in UMVC3’s online FG players would only have one concern in their minds is to get better, without the need to undergo those problems unless they invested too much time and effort in Heroes and Heralds mode with it’s exclusive features.

Meanwhile, J-wong is flying Romance out to Indiana for Naptown Clutch on his own dime.

KBR won’t even buy his own games.

It’s funny how he’ll act as if he’s *too *good for a donation drive like this, but won’t hesitate to get in on Marvel at Evo. Fucking parasite.

I don’t see where it says he is obligated to donate anything.

He isn’t obligated, but that he doesn’t have a right to shittalk others either
