This might be what we’ll see with some of the characters who’ve passed on their legacy but are still active (e.g. we get X-23 as Wolverine and a separate Old Man Logan). Would be an interesting way to change things up. But, this is already going off topic.
Probably wont happen, but it would be nice to see some non playable characters in the backgrounds with marvel and capcom sides interacting. Eg. Like Beast and Blanka in xmvssf. Thats assuming those characters couldnt make it in for whatever reason.
Say Rashid trying to surf on silversurfers board or sakura and jubilee out shopping together etc.
That Ten Count person is claiming Powerstone will be announced today at Nintendo Switch event, also UMVC3 port will be announced for Switch and that there will be a MvCI surprise.

I don’t like the idea of legacy characters making it into an all-star game unless they’re so different as to be an entirely separate character.
Legacy and spinoff characters shouldn’t really be eligible. In Smash Bros. you wouldn’t put neckerchief Sonic from Sonic Boom, you’d put in the original Sonic. You wouldn’t put in Star Force Megaman, you’d put in the original series’ Megaman.
X-23 should be X-23, not Wolverine. It should be the main representations of each character as people know them. At the very most, legacy and spinoff characters should be an alternate costume for the primary iteration.
So Miles should just be an alt costume for Peter.
It’s like his taking advantage of the hype in switch and leak issues. Even announcement of MVCi for switch without uMVC3 port or vice versa won’t convince me his credibility.
But Miles actually has powers that Peter doesn’t have, so it’s not quite the same as having Ben Reilly as an alt.
We’ve have had other Megamen in the versus series without the original though and in MvC3 we didn’t have a MegaMan at all.
What does he have other than the venom sting? Because I think Spidey will be just fine without it.
Fair point, although the Megamen do have separate identities that they can be called by (X, Volnutt, Exe, etc.). The Marvel legacy characters do not have their own monikers which creates confusion.
We already have one legacy character in the game - Captain Marvel.
If including any legacy characters plays to Marvel’s agenda, then they’ll likely put them in.
With the Logan movie coming out, I highly doubt that. But boy, how I hate how the Marvel movies turned out because of rights.
We could have an Onslaught arc, with the first FF, the X-men, the Avengers and Tobey Maguire. They would even have an excuse to switch the cast, since most heroes involved, died, and got back from Franklin’s pocket dimension.
But it will never happen. But I would really like to see Jackman’s Wolverine and Deadpool showing up against Thanos. Thanos hate Deadpool because he banged Death anyway.

How do you guys think synergy will work? If the characters rarely use moves at the same time, I ain’t sure if people will have to take into consideration the synergy between them (considering stuff on trailers, which didn’t have tagging on block and resets). Of course they will have to consider the team balance, like how a big body team will suffer against zoning teams, but I’m thinking more how Sentinel’s drones helped Haggar way more than Magneto’s beam, and the opposite was better for a teleport character.
I’m not sure if I like this “take your two favorite characters and a stone and go to town”, but if a pro can take his two favorite characters and stick with it and be succesful, it might be fun to watch.
Maybe stones will impact more your matchups than a pocket character, which will avoid the “pick a top tier” mentallity? Like if KBR are playing Haggar/Hulk with Power Stone, but he faces FChamp Magneto teabagging with Repulsion, instead of picking a fast point character, it will help more to pick the Time Stone.

Hopefully Capcom will do the “legendary skin” thing like League of Legends, Heroes of the Storm etc.
For example, the base game has classic Spidey, but have a DLC premium SpiderGwen skin, complete with different voice actor (and maybe some different win poses/quotes) but all purely cosmetic.
Since they would have similair movesets anyway, that would save character slots but still make a lot of people happy.

There’s a greater chance of Infinite being announced for the Switch than TVC2.
In invisibility/camouflage. My point is, that unlike some of the other Spider-Men, Miles could stand out easily.
Depends on the Legacy. Carol and Kamala wouldn’t have an issue, for example.
That seems highly unlikely, i doubt Capcom would spend money on a VA for a costume.
That and Peter has several costumes of his own to pick from, they don’t have to resort to using other characters.
