There’s a relevant black guy in Ace Attorney Investigations 2.

Sweating intensifies

For real though, there are some good choices moveset wise for Marvel characters in SF that I’m surprised they didn’t use already. Urien would probably be my first pick, but I could also see Rolento and now Juri

No…

Zoning doesnt want you close lol

What are everyone’s thoughts on the fact that super jump/air combo heights seem lower? Look at when Tony does the down dash air combo, or when we see Carol launch into combo to super, or when we see Morrigan and Cap to tag stuff. I’d say that the height is about 1 character height lower than it was in past games. While it does feel weird at first, since a bit of the verticality of Marvel is lost, it does seem that this was a gameplay related thing, since we see any in combo tag in from the air still run in from the ground. So it seems they don’t want straight up TVC style VARs when it comes to air tag combos. At the same time, as Tony’s down dash combo seems to illustrate, it might made extended air juggle/relaunch combos easier to perform (and less time consuming, since there’s less time where you’re just waiting on some multi-hitting move to bring a character down to the ground).

That said, I wonder if this is only for air combos and if super jumps are just as high (considering that we don’t see super jumps, or any form of other movement, aside from X’s air dash, at all in the trailers).

Did I say that?

Urien is an interesting pick in SF, but he relies too much on Aegis to be interesting. Even then, Aegis wouldn’t control the same amount of space in a Marvel game and Urien doesn’t have the mobility to shine in one as well.

If they put Urien in after just adding him in SF5 I’d be kind of pissed. They should avoid any overlap unless it’s like Ryu or Chun imo…

C.Viper from SF to Marvel was an almost completely different person, and looking at her SFIV variation, I have no doubts that they could do the same with Urien to make him more apt for the engine, especially since the new format for the game seems smaller compared to old MvC2 and UMvC3.

I don’t want to see any Street Fighter characters. I know Ryu and Chun will be in so no sense complaining about them. The series just got a new installment. It’s characters can stay there and dig up other Capcom IP to utilize.

For Street Fighters, I would personally prefer Rashid to just about any other character beyond the obvious 2. His ability to control wind could be really explored in a Marvel game similar to how they changed Viper’s technology in MvC3.

Air combos need to happen at SJ height…

But its still better than skullgirls’ normal jump height ā€œair combosā€

We we already know they ain’t at normal jump height (that down dash combo wouldn’t look like that if it were), but the trailer also shows that the height itself is lower than in previous games. By my rough estimation, about 1 character height lower.

This. I know people are standoffish about SF characters getting in, but I think Rashid has earned it. He’s basically perfect for a Marvel game and he’s essentially SFV’s Main Character.

Were they deciding the majority of the roster based on popularity or were they just mentioning that specifically for X only?

I don’t…

I don’t know if this is actually even possible.

Rolento would be awesome, you could even say he’s a Final Fight rep for people who don’t want too many Street Fighter characters in.

Would love to see this kind of shit in MvCI.
