The top tiers in a chunk of vs games werent tridashing. Theyā€™ll be there in some fashion but it isnt exactly a defining mechanic like launchers and super jumps are.

You dont even need to tridash with storm to do okay with thrax. Just build meter run away til they get desperate enough to run into your st rh dhc and thatā€™s gameā€¦that was basically Neoā€™s M.O. For awhile

I imagine we will end up seeing something like this for a button scheme: light attack, medium, heavy, launcher. Then something like atk + launcher = tag (different directions give different tags), atk + atk = stone, all atk + launcher = super

This thread moving too fast for me. Wouldnā€™t mind so much except so much of it is stuff I donā€™t care about.

Yeah, the button layout is mostly what Iā€™m interested in atm. Will be it more umvc3 or go back to mvc1/2?

Iā€™d imagine it will be more akin to MvC3 as that imo is a bit more ā€œaccessibleā€ and would allow for a 4 button layout with a launcher. Then they could do stuff like 2 atk + Launcher = Super or Launcher + Atk = tagā€¦anyway thatā€™s what Iā€™m anticipating

If they go back to the MVC1/2 button layout, Iā€™d be pretty happy.

I canā€™t see a return to the MvC3 layout if the game doesnā€™t have a super jump. There will be no need for a launchers being itā€™s own button if the game will be more grounded when it comes to combos.

Ryu better have his air dash from TvC.

Iā€™d be surprised if Capcom brings back the TvC button scheme.

Iā€™m sorry not having this no tri-dash bullshit, its fucking marvel, the characters who fly who be flying and dashing in the air like they should do, and without assits it going to be real hard to lock somebody down to even get away with doing one in the first place.

Iā€™d expect a layout very similar to 3.

Yeah thatā€™s true. Maybe theyā€™ll do something like: light, medium, heavy, special. Then any motion + special button gives a special move, pressing atk + special gives super, etc. IDK, Iā€™m trying to think of ways that they might implement a 4 button layout (which imo is pretty much a given), maybe theyā€™d go back to MvC2 so itā€™d look like: lp, hp, lk, hk, then lp + hp gives a tag, lk + hk gives a tag, all 4 buttons give super, etcā€¦

GG is a 5 button game, so I canā€™t see them doing that. I could see them doing a BB sort of thing thoughā€¦

A Marvel with drives? I would love to see that.

Itā€™s gonna be either 4/6 buttons. Iā€™d be happy with four but I can get used to having six for a Marvel game again. Itā€™s just annoying.

So according to Ryce, this famitsu article/interview (Thatā€™s been 403ā€™d unfortunatelyā€¦) Xā€™s inclusion in Marvel infinite was directly influenced by him getting to the top of multiple UMvC3 DLC polls.

Someone then posted the DLC poll results from SRK, Neogaf and Capcom Unity.

Gene happens to consistently be in the top 3 for every single DLC poll, so Iā€™m wondering if he will get in the game tooā€¦
