Except for the part where there are (counting MvCI) four Marvel games with 2v2 and just 2 Marvel games with 3v3.

So according to Lupinko, the following will also be in
Marvel:
Gwenpool
Howard the Duck
Groot
Kamala KhanCapcom:
Roll
Protoman
Hunter (Monster Hunter)
Edward Falcon
AsuraLooks like Kamala will be Ms.Marvel while Carol is Captain Marvel
Howard the Duck is cool, Gwenpool is cool, Kamala… whatever, but too many classic Megaman characters means that Tron Bonne might not make it
Also, a hunter from Monster Hunter? That’s pretty lame… there are cool monsters they could pick instead like a Rajang or an adolescent Zinogre.
I wanna defend my girl Kamala, but I see that you like Tron Bonne so you can’t be as uncultured as I once thought. Carry on.

Characters chosen for their assist gave them a role on the team. I cannot see how having a smaller team with no assists will make it more team oriented.
What they seem to mean is that picking a character just for their assist is something they want to get rid of. You should be picking characters because you want to play as them on point, not just because they have an OTG assist or an assist with good screen coverage for your point character.
That’s what made Marvel unique though. Having defined roles for three team members is definitely more team based than having two heavy hitters who just hit hard.

Okay? I know that but if you want to make the game more team based going back to 2vs2 and no assists is not the way to do it.

honestly, I think the best gameplay compromise would’ve been to make it a 2.5 character game. Basically you pick a two man team and the third person from the character select screen is your assist. That way you still have 2 v 2 teams but you don’t have models you made just to be assist.
BUT YOU KNOW.
The freeform tag is going to allow all of those options without that. The white guys promised us.

Everyone likes Tron Bonne. Don’t you know loli’s rule the world?
I can definitely see her getting cut though. X, Sigma, Zero, Roll, Protoman, and Tron…somethings gotta give no way theres 6 MM reps.
Max just tweeted this is the first fighting game being developed inhouse by capcom in over a dacade. I guess capcom thinks this game is a big deal too.

Might means things will get done and fixed in a timely manner. OG Marvel game devs working on it sounds real fun.

Wouldn’t mind this one being the default outfit tho
I’m liking these holiday Flex Seal commercials. Makes things feel jolly right before the new reveals.

Wait what? Marvel 1 guys are on this?
Yeah they said guys that worked on 90’s Marvel comics Capcom games are on this.
Obviously they’re going to be restrained by the casual push, but it’s nice.

It’s not just a matter of making things “more team-based” but allowing characters to actually be used AS characters rather than for just one move.
Look at Marvel 3. There’s probably 10% of Doom users who actually know how to play Doom when he’s forced out on point. And I’m being generous.
They know Foot and BUTT Dive.

I dunno boys, I much preferred this to the succubus costume
I’ve always liked that costume but as a succubus, Morrigan’s boobs are part of her character and therefor need to be on display. That can be an alternate.

I get that, I don’t know if this will lead to more players learning Doom or instead picking another character all together. The article was talking about how two characters would be more team based, but with less defined team roles (everyone at point) that seems to directly contradict that statement.
ITS HAPPENINGGG!!!
Captain America and Morrigan!
