Not to mention every ālongā combo in mvc2 sans AHVB (which took meter) was impractical AF. Rom was a meter builder (for the hypergrav tempest before people could mash out) and positioning tool. Iron man had his infinite but that was just to get you to the corner and yup you guessed it, spend meter! The most damaging combo in high level play was the storm sent dhc.
Whereas in mvc3, every long combo is retardedly good. Give me back a marvel with high paced footsies, 3-5 hit bnbs where the meta is not how u land a hit but how u punish the opponent.
True, I have been working previously in some software company, I believe they ditch the waterfall workflow and adopted the trendy Scrum/Agile that is used by freemium mobile app developers so many have get early access and bare bone product, it was a huge gamble not done properly because of rush down and they belittle some of their consumers by ditching traditional content.
Capcom may thought that their consumers could easily be carried away by the hype and publicity in reviews that would never hesitate compromised to their lack of inadequacies in content design, while their apologist failed to trivialize arcade mode existence and every any FG standalone gaming experience as an obsolete means of entertainment in this era. Capcom did also fail to set a new lowered standard of FG content in SFV because his competitors like KOF, MK and GGxrd keep the traditional way of content priorities and workflow as is.
Probably KI is doing the same rushed workflow but knows the right priorities and expectations among their consumers. Hopefully Capcom should already learned from their previous mistake and never underestimate their fans like they did in initial SFV and SFxT disaster. Despite everything, I trust their company and still an avid believer of their future SF and crossover projects beyond SFV and MVCi.
Thatās right! Phew, now I donāt have to worry about DmC Dante being in the roster: thereās no way Disney would allow a literal penis with a sword to be in itās fighting game
Characters chosen for their assist gave them a role on the team. I cannot see how having a smaller team with no assists will make it more team oriented.
Having boobs is illegal now. Only loliās can exist.
What they seem to mean is that picking a character just for their assist is something they want to get rid of. You should be picking characters because you want to play as them on point, not just because they have an OTG assist or an assist with good screen coverage for your point character.
Thatās what made Marvel unique though. Having defined roles for three team members is definitely more team based than having two heavy hitters who just hit hard.
honestly, I think the best gameplay compromise wouldāve been to make it a 2.5 character game. Basically you pick a two man team and the third person from the character select screen is your assist. That way you still have 2 v 2 teams but you donāt have models you made just to be assist.
