MvC Infinite CHARACTER Speculation/Request Thread

I’ve seen it. I’ve played through the whole game. I still don’t understand why.

Ethan’s a 90 pound pussbag. He gets his ass kicked by his own girlfriend. He’s not exactly a goliath where taking him down is some big achievement.

It’ll most likely be 3 Mega Man reps this time (X, Zero, and Sigma) this time in MvCI. It’ll fit the one Mega Man series per rule and will make more sense in my opinion.

There is no such rule. There is no reason at all for them to exclude Tron. She is one of the most popular characters in the series.

Well, MvC1’s Mega Man reps had both classic series reps (Mega Man and Roll) so I’m sure it’ll be the same thing here except it’ll be all X series reps, thus eschewing the one Mega Man character per rule this time in MvCI. :expressionless:

So? She was in MVC2 and had no X-Factor or Gems. What in the world are you talking about? Neither of those mechanics have anything to do with her.

Well, because MvCI has ditched the assist system, I would say Tron’s chances are rather unlikely as far as I can tell since assists were a major part of her playstyle in MvC2 and MvC3. :expressionless:

You could make the same argument for any returning character. By that logic Ryu, Morrigan, Captain America and Iron Man shouldn’t be in the game either because they have no assists. It’s an absurd argument.

What he means is, Tron’s always been played as an assist character. She did that in MvC2, MvC3, and was just garbage in Ultimate.

Hugo is not happening, but I would enjoy seeing Jack Baker.

I can pretty much see Mike Haggar returning for MvCI since Hugo is most likely not happening. Plus, Haggar’s been only in one game so far.

Devilot with Super-8 would be a great alternative with Tron along with combining some good aspects from TVC’s Doronjo and UMVC3 Tron.

I can see Devilot as potential DLC just in case Jin Saotome doesn’t make the cut for MvCI. =)

I think that would be the case for obscure last generation games 1 per franchise :frowning:

Good thing Strider still known today…

Tron not being good as a point character in previous games is no reason to not have her in Infinite. Haven’t seen anyone winning in majors with point Ryu in 2 or 3, guess we better not bring him back. His only use was his tatsu assist was alright in 3 and SRK was alright in 2 but no assists in Infinite, so I guess he’s pointless.

I respect the dreams and wishes, but you’re all deluded if you think they’ll waste time developing another capcom grappler instead of just doing Haggar the UMvC3 copy/paste treatment.

MVC2 was something like a compilation, but I think it’s slightly different with the guy that is previously involved with Cota to MVC1. His works involves a lot of updates and changes even in the story direction each game except for MVSF.

Ryu wasn’t as assist heavy compared to Tron in MvC3/UMvC3 so having no assists really hurts her chances of being in MvCI. However, I can see Princess Devilotte as a decent replacement for her from a mechanics point.

I’m not saying he’ll make it in. I’m only saying he’d be a lot better than Jack Baker or Haggar. But screw it, since you guys are shitting all over it I’ll take a wager against you even if it’s not likely. A man has to stand up for what he believes and I stand against you, your moustaches and your hillbilly zombies.

What do you want? Avatar?

Sorry, but from the looks of it. I would rather see Mike Haggar return for MvCI as far as Capcom side grapplers are concerned. Hugo’s moveset just doesn’t translate well in MvCI. :expressionless:

Sure it does.
