MvC Infinite CHARACTER Speculation/Request Thread

You could add Ibuki and Ingrid to that list too, since the former was being considered as the SFIII rep for TVC, back when they were originally kicking around the game having 4 Street Fighter Reps, (Ryu-SF1, Chun-Li-SFII, Zangeif-SFII/Grappler, Ibuki-SFIII) before they decided to cut both her and Gief to go with Alex, both because he was the Main Character of TVC, which was a theme that roster was focusing on, and because he was also a Grappler, allowing them to bench the Red Cyclone and save a single slot for another franchise entirely, and the latter had a Test Model for the game, and as I’ve said before, would likely be more fitting for a Vs. Title than a numbered Street Fighter entry, due to her Goddess status and powerset, on top of her being the creator of Pandora in Street Fighter X Tekken and making an appearance in Project X Zone 2. I could totally see her wanting to keep the Infinity Stones out of the hands of people like Thanos, Ultron, Sigma, Wesker, Bison, Octopus, Dorm, Shuma, Doom, etc. Also, at the risk of being anal, do we REALLY count Mode Change Ryu as Ken and Akuma being in MVC1, when that whole System was created as a way to keep their play styles, in but physically keep them OUT?

Yes, I’m aware of this, but that’s not my point. My point is that all of the SF characters are viable candidates since they all possess some degree of superhuman ability and aren’t just “normal dudes” like everyone thinks they are.

“Better choices” is your subjective opinion. I don’t think any of those characters are better. Zangief has had his chance - he’s appeared in many Marvel games already and was completely worthless in each of them. Akuma has appeared in every single game since the big bang, and I personally really hate Juri, Viper and Necalli. Alex has already appeared in Tatsunoko and he’s also a headline character in SF5 so he already has a spotlight on him. “Better” in your opinion just seems to mean “more popular”, which I understand, but I genuinely think Hugo is way cooler than all those choices. A straight up hardbodied heavyweight grappler that isn’t Gief or Haggar. I was suggesting Hugo in response to the idea that a grappler from the Capcom side is inevitable, and I wanted it to be one who hasn’t appeared in the vs. series yet.

The only choices I like from that list are Bison and Gill.

Yeah, Alex should make the jump from TVC to MVCI.

Will you actually be coming out to tournaments this time?

This is how we know this guy is full of shit

Some dude on Gfaqs was talking about Mystique being mentioned prior to this 10count tweet. But that gfaqs guy said this 10count is fake. We will know if 10count is fake after the Switch event.

It’s fake because there is no right issues or deals to be made. FOX only has the movie rights, they don’t have any saying on the game.

Lupinko seems to be hinting Felicia Hardy AKA Black Cat, a lot lately.

I wouldn’t mind. Spiderman and Heroes For Hire rep and she is always been cool in my book.

Martial arts, bad luck powers plus grappling hook action has potential.

This 10count dude just dug his own grave months early, when he could have just rode out his leak list, possibly without being wrong for a good while. I almost want to believe he’s actually Ono, but his english is looking a little too strong…

Fox has rights to produce movies of marvel franchies marvel can put whatever characters they want in

If Mika were a more prominent character in SF lore she’d be an easy pick for MvC. She’s a nice counterpart to She-Hulk, actually. Mixed grappler based around confusion, bodysuits and leg drops.

For now, Rashid is the most obvious prediction, so I’ll stick w/ that. My greedy ass wants Viper to return but I think four (Ryu, Chunli, Gokui, Rashid) is reasonable for a launch lineup.

he had fin fang foom in his list… nuff said…

If Capcom was in full control of the roster Fin Fang Foom would be a character they would add. Who doesn’t love a kaiju space dragon?

how would Capcom even know who he is lol

When Seth Killian was working at Capcom he say that they discovered Shuma by browsing a Marvel universe handbook. Marvel would release handbooks covering different facets of their universe and give character profiles. They found Shuma in a horror handbook.

that… actually explains a lot. It would be possible for him to be in the game with Japan’s fascination with giant monsters (still think the list is bs tho).

I just found it funny how I completely forgot about him till I read his name on that list lol

Fin Fang Foom was in Arthur’s ending back in Marvel 3, they know.

He was also one of the better HVH cards. They have a lot of respect for such a random character. Same could be said for Shuma, I guess.

Fin Fang Foom is cool.

He is one of the better Ironman villains.

He also is an okay opponent for Thor and Hulk even if he loses in the end.

I definitely wouldn’t mind him. (except the shorts, LOL! )

Interestingly enough, that GameFAQS guy, hiddenone, who talks like he’s some sort of Marvel employee, was talking about Mystique and Doctor Octopus as well, whom Ten Count also mentions is “In the game in some form,” so it’ll be interesting to see how that pans, out since they’re both confident of these things slowly unfolding in their favor, especially with Ten talking up Jedah as that “hard to animate new Capcom character” that keeps getting hinted at, SUPER HARD. Thought they were both just full of crap, but it’s interesting to me that they’re both going into such detail about these things. Hopefully, if something does or doesn’t happen tonight, we can shut one of them up.
