You don’t have to stop the combo to poison them, not if you can still combo out of the move that applies poison. With what we know of Infinite’s engine, it could be possible to combo into a status effect special, then tag cancel the special and continue the combo with another character.
I’m going conservative on my guesses just because we still know almost nothing for sure.

I think Black Widow has a ton of potential for a unique movesets. She could use all kinds of weaponry and gadgets, while being a very fast character. A mix between Cammy & MvC3 Jill perhaps.

Gwenpool could be unique if they made her more of a spectacle fighter.
If she gets in she should make use of the various giant cartoon weapons she’s seen wielding at times. Like the penguin gun, the giant hammer, a mace and her dirtbike with a gun on it. It’d be boring if she just did swords and guns, because we have Deadpool for that.
Flash Thompson Venom would be interesting. He’d be Spider Man with guns and Tentacle Monster shit.
I think that’s pretty naive. It’s obvious that we’re going to see almost every single Marvel character that was in a Marvel-produced movie. So that means the Avengers, Guardians, Spider Man and his rogues gallery, and don’t forget villains like Dormamu, Loki, and… I guess Ronan? Maybe Ivan from Iron Man 2? If the rumors are true and they got the rights back we could get Doom.
Then you have the Marvel shows so that means Punisher, DareDevil, Kingpin, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and maybe Agent Coulson from Shield. And don’t forget Nick Fury or characters like Crossbones. And THEN you have Ghost Rider and Blade, I heard Marvel wants to do a dark superhero team with those two and a few other characters.
Right there that’s roughly 16 characters with enough room for maybe 2 niche ones at best.

I wasn’t a fan of Red hulk though and was hoping for a roster of Punisher, Deadpool, Venom, Elektra, and Ghost Rider.
The teams i found the most bad ass with in the last 10-15 years where Thunderbolts and X-force that had Wolverine, Psylocke, Deadpool, and AOA Nightcrawler.

The covers and team combination for that iteration of Thunderbolts were awesome in concept, but that comic was really, REALLY bad IMO.
Agreed about Uncanny X-Force, though. That entire run was amazing from beginning to end.
Explain this, please. Imo she even has a higher chance than, say, Shuma-Gorath this time around based on the way Marvel is approaching this roster. Sheev’s post further up on this page does a pretty good job of lining up with the things Marvel/Capcom are looking for.
The sample size of both of these polls is so small that I don’t think its worth trying to glean anything about what people want in general from them.
There’s a lot of flaws in your reasoning and some your info is faulty. Not to mention there seems to be some bias.

She has gotten different moves compared to Spider-Man in her previous game appearances, so that’snot true and not an issue. Especially since Wolverine and X-23 had different moves in 3.

Just because he pitched it, doesn’t mean it’s happening.
1)Not true, since every game she’s been in also had Deadpool
2) It’s actually doing well enough that she has started doing cameos in other books and the reason she got a book was because her debut issue I’m Howard the Duck sold well.
3) Not really an issue until we know what other gun an sword users make the cut.
4) That doesn’t seem to be the case at all from what i’ve seen, she did seem to be popular in Future Fight.
Not that i think she’ll make the cut, though i can see her easily getting a unique moveset.
Like PSYCH0J0SH said, she could use so of her cartoony weapons or maybe even have her ghost friend Cecil.
For me the most badass Thunderbolts team was the one from Warren Ellis run on the book.
Deadpool has a ton of comics (his solo series, he’s in the Uncanny Avengers, Deadpool: Back in Black, Spider-man and Deadpool, Deadpool and the Mercs for Money…) at the moment so I don’t think Marvel really care that much about Fox having him.
