If I had to make a list of characters (Marvel side) I thought were almost guaranteed, it would look something like:

I might have missed one or two, but I can’t see these characters not making it into the game considering how relevant they are. If you also factor in the likely roster size (about 30-40 characters overall) I suspect only about 3-8 toss-ups.
Edit: not counting the 3 revealed characters for this.

Probably someone else. Asura was someone most have speculated to be included in Infinite, so the character wouldn’t be much of a surprise.

Jedah would be dope. Him and Huitzil are my top picks for the Darkstalkers.

I guess I’m just trying to think of Capcom characters with ridiculous animations. Jedah was one of those no one can picture being in a 3D fighter because of his animations. That can be said about a lot of other DS characters, though. We’ll see.
Which one? Ken’s movelist would be the most appropriate as he had the most flight based moves.
That’s a good point. Just going by the push from Marvel’s side, though, I’d say that Nova and Strange are still pretty much a lock. But all the others could be fair game with a new development team.
Except the Ghost Rider who has a book currently isn’t the one that was in UMVC3.
If Juggernaut comes back, one thing I want him to have is a full-screen command grab as a level 3. Like Abel’s Ultra 2, except slower.
If he grabs you then he’ll roll around the stage on top of you like a giant boulder before leaping into the air and flattening you with his body.
Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider was in Robbie Reyes’ first Pre-Secret Wars run, hence the latter part of point 1.
The latest thing we know about the character Ryce talked about is that they’re a villain.
Still have a strong feeling this is a DS character.
As a guest appearance, so that’s still not his wasn’t his book and he wasn’t apart of it.
He also hasn’t shown up in the current one.
Robbie Reyes is the Ghost Rider Marvel is pushing. He’s the one with a book and appearing on TV.
Either a Darkstalker, a Warzard character, a Power Stone character like Jack or some old Capcom IP characters like Michelle Heart from Legendary Wings.
But is probably a new Darkstalker character since they are the ones that demand the most from the animation department.
A new one so is between Demitri, Bishamon, Victor, Huitzil, Jedah, Q-Bee, Pyron, Talbain, Rikuo, Sasquatch, Raptor and Donovan. Hopefully is my furball who made it.
Could be that Capcom reached an agreement with Marvel to allow Demitri to Midnight Bliss their characters.
That would fit and certainly be interesting.

I don’t think there is enough fanfare for Juggy to get in unless something happened in the comics to made him a big deal again thatI could have easily missed.
If he does get in it’s probably DLC later on.
If Carol is in then I expect She Hulk to return. Best friends, history, everyone knows who she is, big deal in the books, and a favorite daughter of Marvel.
I don’t know which Red Earth character would be difficult to animate, unless we’retalking about the monsters.
