No. Venom would play more like he played in MVC, with his fangs being his only weapons, web swing for movement and some web throw. Carnage would be able to shapeshift his hands into axes, spike balls, hammers and stuff, and would have less web moves.

Venom and Carnage can be as different as you want them to be especially with how Carnage is now.

BrockVenom; MvC styled with some more blunt force symbiote projections and beefier Spider-man styled hand-to-hand

Carnage: Symbiote projections of shard projectiles (like the Mugen character), axes, anti air swinging blade wheel, and now, as in the current Carnage book, his Darkhold abilities; you could give him a hyper where he spawns infected clones and make a party of Carnages have a stabby rave. You could even maybe give him a move that gives progressive damage like Gen’s alpha 2 super, only this is a creeping infection of sorts.

Anti-Venom: a hybrid character; he did use tendrils and stretchy arms a lot more, he could have some grapples, but also he could utilize moves that screw with your meter, heal allies, give buffs, etc. He could really shine.

Wtf are you talking about? Lol. Carnage’s made a big comeback in the past couple years with a couple of minis, a big role in AXIS & now his own solo. Plus, casuals love him & could be really unique gameplay wise. I think he has a shot.

Carnage wasn’t Kasady in a few of them, and Carnage never reached the levels of popularity or acclaim as Flash Thompson as Venom. Carnage is was always small time in those stories barring Carnage USA.

Blackheart…one of those characters i would LOVE to see in this game, but dont actually want included due to how they would need to be designed. Blackheart would need a completely new moveset on account of Dormammu having a similar one, which I’m not about. There’s no chance of him replacing Dormammu since the later is more relevant to the MCU. I would also pay extra money to see Legion in this game, but I don’t need to be a game developer to know his moveset would be a nightmare to design…

Of the villains you listed only Norman Osborn had any significant impact on the Marvel universe as a whole. Osborn is practically the Lex Luthor of Marvel. Doctor Octopus is strictly a spidey villain. It wasn’t until Superior Spider-Man where he got to do things outside of his Spider-Man bubble. Spidey might need outside assistance to bring down Carnage but the character hasn’t done anything to affect the universe in a meaningful way. He hasn’t done anything on the level of Osborn after Secret Invasion or Doc Ock during his time as Superior Spider-Man.

I remember reading an arc on Amazing Spiderman back then on 2012 where Spiderman was fighting the Sinister Six and Dr. Octopus had created a weapon of mass destruction and with detonation time in sight, Peter had to force it and brought along his Avengers pals for assistance.

I remember clearly that Thor defeated Electro quite easily and sent him to outer space but Octopus managed to beat all of the rest of the Avengers including Thor and Cap and left Peter conscious to torture him along the rest of the Sinister Six sans Electro.

The rules in the Marvel Universe Earth is that anytime you have to bring the Fantastic Four, the Avengers, a combination of Fantastic Four and X-Men or all three teams at once to handle you then you aren’t small time anymore, especially if you manage to defeat them.

Dr. Octopus mainly, defeating all of the Avengers and leading the Sinister Six, isn’t a small timer.

Sure, if you compare Otto to Dr. Doom, he definitely lacks but Dr. Doom is the nemesis of the Fantastic Four and THE VILLAIN of Marvel Earth. No one compares to Victor or can handle him straight up sans Invisible Woman. But Otto isn’t a small timer at all.

Dr. Octopus is definitely better than MODOK even with all his AIM goons and the likes of Whiplash, Master, Bullseye and others.

I’m still mad Ock was scrapped from MVC3. I always think about his potential moveset.

But yeah, Green Goblin and Ock would be the ones I want the most.

Also, the Sinister Six aren’t lame, depending on what line up you’re talking about.

But they can be badass and several of them can indeed work in a fighting game. Especially Mysterio.
