I also forgot about Donovan. I think he would also be a great choice for MVCI because of the stuff he can do with his sword and spirits.
I remember an interview with Nitsuma where he was talking about characters that almost made MvC3 and Donovan was actually one of them. They ultimately went with Trish for the “throws a sword” character.

I am surprised Blackbolt hadn’t been mentioned or Luke Cage. With all the production around those guys in their series I don’t see why they wouldn’t be in on the marvel side.
As much as I’d like another black guy, not a big fan of Luke Cage. Black Bolt could be cool I just have a disdain for the Moon family.

but an interesting note someone said was Capcom considered Blade but deemed he would be too similar to Deadpool. So…GIVE DEADPOOL FUNCTIONS TO BLADE MOFOS!!!

I hear this a lot, but I only count one: air guns. No katana sweeps, no teleports, no bolos and no pineapples…they may both use swords and guns, but the way they use them are about as similar as Deadpool to Dante. Plenty of other Deadpool functions to go around.
Blade doesn’t teleport, really never uses bolos or guess you can go with light grenades? He generally shoots shit and uses swords.
Either way, you can make any character work, the question is do you want another character of that archetype. I’m sure if they keep
adding characters it will happen eventually so meh.
Gamora is visually like Deadpool, but gameplay wise she’s completely different. Her guns are used for rushdown more than zoning.
Gamora is like a cross between Deadpool and Hayato.
Gamora almost looks like what Dante should have been in ultimate to be honest. Team Guns and Swords(Dante and Gamora) is gonna be everywhere day 1.
I love the fact that Lv.5 Frank is going to be a legitimate threat now as opposed to a specific requirement as he used to be. Gamora/Frank is a team in definitely going to experiment with.
Does Frank’s Knee Drop still cause a hard knockdown? I think your go-to set up after tagging off a super with him will be dropping a tripod, knee dropping them to the ground, jumping, (they get picked up OTG by the camera here) knee dropping them again, then OTG with the manual camera shot. Characters like RR and Dante might offer him more options, but for most supers that sounds like something that could work, at least in the corner.
i wonder if frank can still level up after setting up his tripod and then tagging out. that would be sick
I remember a video where chain saws were getting tanked by armor. I wonder if all multi hitting heavies are treated as lights for armor purposes this time around.
