I’m definitely gonna play with Haggar, I’m pretty hype for the Haggar train, his barrel changes his gameplay completely and makes him look hella fun. No longer is he afraid to walk forward because now he has a shield and can be annoying because he can throw his barrels at what looks like pretty decent angles. I’d probably pair him with the time stone, turn him into more of a zoner/grappler with faster mobility options.
I wonder if the barrel has a hit box of its own and you can tag during absorbing an attack. Space stone would be good for grapplers for obvious reasons, but I don’t think Haggar needs a reason to bring his opponent close to him because no longer is he stuck at long range because he now owns some of the midfield. I’d like to play annoying keepaway keeping people at bay, mixing up barrel and pipe to fish for a hit, with the ability to actually move around in the air with the time stone and get people trying to chase me down. Not sure who I’d team him up with…
This is a pretty decent list. Personally I’d like more than 6 returning, but I wouldn’t have been mad about this. Maybe swap Birkin for tyrant, or an Re4 boss, and add Ada and I’d say its really on point.
Kind of dry right now in terms of news and videos. By doing this I remember the character Vanessa from P.N.0.3 i wanted really bad in MVC3. Just fun to see new and interesting characters you never seen or heard before or forgotten.
You know if there’s anything that pisses me off about this game and I’m a staunch supporter is that I have a feeling noone on Marvels side will be "surprising."
I’m more excited about capcom reveals and that’s cray since I almost NEVER played capcom characters in VS except Nemesis.
I hope Winter Soldier is just an NPC. We already have Chris for the weapon motif and Spencer for the bionic arm…what else does he bring to the table? Russian dialogue? I don’t say this often, but if there was ever a character I’d give the title of “wasted slot” to, it’s him.
Just my predictions on the final roster via the datamine leak. We have yet to received any news on the DLC characters. Hopefully all this comes to light as time passes. Like will DLC characters be available at launch or sometime after? Probably the latter.
Also if Firebrand and Dormammu are this months new reveals and nothing else I guess they will have a final surprise/reveal in September before the game launches with the remaining roster, stone, and potentially dlc character reveal. Hopefully with Firebrand and Dormammu we’ll see a new stage at least. I’m saving the stone for the Hunter/Venom/Ghost Rider reveal. Granted if they are even in.
I don’t personally want him in the game, but I think there’s a decent amount they could do to differentiate him from Chris. Chris is a soldier, Bucky is a spy.
Also GhostTear, X & Captain Marvel are newcomers. X is a completely different character from the Mega Man in MVC/MvC2; he’s not even called Mega Man X in the game, just X.
Only difference between a soldier and a spy is the stealth aspect, which is hard enough to emulate in a fighting game as it is. Add in the fact that Black Widow would make a much more interesting spy character, and we’re back at square one.
