So probablity of Onimusha characters is unlikely.
What’s unlikely is getting the characters from the first three games. They can use the Dawn of Dreams characters as there no legal hurdle to jump.

I can only see RE5 Jill not getting in because of Black Widow. Regina could have a more zoning take like Chris. But I can’t see them adding her over a RE2 rep because of the remake. Unless the RE2 rep is only William Birkin or Tofu.

MVC1 Ryu was the best Ryu in 2D marvel crossover era. In-terms of special move sets. (not combo system) while the advantage of Ryu XvSF only has a variation of infinite combos which will never be and should never be in other future fighters. The Ryu MvSF is Ryu of XvSF plus 1 level Shin Shoryuken without brokenness of XvSF, while MVC2 is Ryu MvSF but with level 3 Shin Shoryuken.
Previous Ryu infinite combos patterns from other marvel crossover in the 90s wouldn’t have a chance for any future MVC series. Unless Capcom would remixed MVC2 which is unlikely to happen now!

Didn’t stop MvC1 Ryu from being ass. Ryu in TvC is actually good. He has an air dash and a monster when using Baroque.
Ryu XvSF has the best link chain combos and air throw which will never be imported in the other latter games.
Ryu MvSF has lost all advantage of XvSF but had a new harder infinite combo pattern version, Shinkuu
Hadouken can hit after CR+H and a new Shin Shoryuken for level one.
Ryu MvC1 has lost any version of solo infinite combos and advantage of both early Ryu XvSF and MvSF. Now had level 3 Shin Shoryuken. Having stronger damage than the previous versions and more hit stun advantage during HP normals.
Ryu MvC2 is XvsSF ryu without infinite combos with Shin Shoryuken for level three.
Technical perspectives should be all about special moves not importing a whole combo advantage exclusive for the previous crossover as a base of judgement in a whole new different engine unless it’s MUGEN or free for all fighting game engine.
Importing Ryu MvC2 and XvSF as a merge without previous combo advantage is like Ryu with 3 specials only and minus direction Shinkuu hadoken? Movesets, damage and health or some priorities in individual moves are the only possible to get an import in MVCi.
Air dash for Ryu was amazing, but would Capcom would bring it back for Ryu? after his other UMVC3 tools.

Except that’s now Black Widow’s main form of offense. Her main for of offense is with her wrist weapon, which she calls the Widow’s Bite. She doesn’t use big guns, especially not a bazooka.
I hope he does get his air dash back. He has a tough time keeping up with other characters as he had no mobility options. If the command for denjin mode stays the same he will need an air dash to make up for wavedash not being practical for him.
