They way it fits is that we have one more 2v2 trailer, and the rest are DLC, at which point there is still one Capcom character which we don’t know about. Hopefully it’s Commando.
The dlc pack says “all new” as if every character in it has never been in a MVC game before. Commando would be a retuening character, so I can’t see it being him. My money’s on Asura.

We only have Firebrand, Jedah, Hunter and Sigma left, plus we’re one man down. All of the above are new to the series besides Firebrand, so it might well be that we’ll get Firebrand plus an unannounced character (Commando), and the new members will be DLC.

Why are y’all so convinced the initial roster is 32? The CSS is 6 spaces across and there’s room for 6 rows. If you factor in that the last row is dlc, that gives you a base roster of 30. Firebrand is the last unannounced character for Capcom. Dormammu and either Venom or Ghost Rider are left for Marvel. The rest are dlc.
I’m okay with the 32 final base roster(no DLC included) seems decent. What was bothering is the number of returnees in Capcom side which is really meh of this and some gameplay fundamentals decisions that isn’t necessary.
I am worried with the modes content right now…

Oh shit, you’re right. Forgot about random select…ok, that does make sense now. In which case, I think GhostTear’s prediction is the most accurate. Monster Hunter feels like an initial roster character. It pairs well with Black Panther being dlc, which is the same situation Ultron and Sigma have.
I’m wondering what character Capcom is gonna choose to represent the Monster Hunter franchise. I hope for a female representative cause of the lack of female characters in the game.
That is if the character is in the game.

Morrigan has traditional DP motion as well.
They only chose very specific characters to have down down motion. Which makes it even stranger.
