There were a fair amount of BC players mid MVC3, just when the tiers fleshed out and Combofiend stopped beasting he died out for the most part.
Spencer and Wesker kind of fizzled when people started figuring out the game.
Zero being in probably means they switched up one or two characters. I still believe the leak list will be 90% true.
Some random thoughts after playing the demo/seeing the new trailer:
- I was actually surprised to see Grandmaster, he’ll probably just be a cameo though.
- Will the time skill “v-skill” teleport make Wesker moveset redudant (Besides him showing up or not)?
- Am I the only one that expected a bit more out of X his moveset? I’m worried that Sigma will just end up a Zero on steriods

Based on what I’ve seen, Ultron is on my shortlist for main characters.
I can’t think of a single character I want to play as in this piece of crap. Just Sigma, and he’s behind a paywall. Everyone else is everyone I didn’t use or didn’t want to use from Marvel 3.
I wanted the real Spencer. Focusing around the claw arm and projectiles, like in the original game.

I don’t necessarily buy that texture leak any more than I believed any of the previous leaks, but I’m willing to at least concede that the roster may be bigger than I was thinking. I was expecting mid-20s, but it’s possible we might be getting up into the 30s. That’s pretty good for a 2v2 game.
- They’ve officially confirmed 11 Marvel characters and 10 Capcom, not counting DLC. (21 total)
- Gamora does seem very likely now, based on what’s been shown of her in story mode and artwork (12 Marvel)
- There is no way Spider-Man isn’t getting in (13 Marvel)
- Assuming Capcom side matches Marvel side, that makes at least 26 total (13 each), but it could easily be higher.
- DLC will definitely push it over 30 if not into the 40 range
