Top 6 characters that should be added to Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite
Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite may be awhile away but that hasn’t stopped people speculating.
The next Marvel vs. Capcom game is set to hit systems sometime this year, and fans are already discussing possible new character inclusions.
MVC: Infinite will play around the Marvel Cinematic Universe as its source material. With a return to two-on-two gameplay and a bunch of improvements made from the last game, fans can’t wait to grab their fight sticks and head into battle.
A couple of new faces have already been announced for the MVC title, such as Megaman X from Capcom and Miss Marvel from Marvel.
With that in mind, we found six fighters that fans hope the developers will add to Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite.
Asura (Capcom)
Asura is a character from one of Capcom’s most surprising games of the previous console generation. The demigod warrior has enough over-the-top, strong, combat-based skills to fit right into the game’s chaotic roster.
Protoman (Capcom)
The brother of Megaman from the classic NES days, Protoman isn’t just a clone of the blue bomber—he could bring a lot more to the table with his shield and close combat potential.
Leon Kennedy (Capcom)
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 was littered with Resident Evil characters—except for one striking omission.
Leon Kennedy is one of the biggest faces of the Resident Evil series, and it feels like a crime not to have him included.
Rocket Raccoon and Groot (Marvel)
Rocket Raccoon was part of the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 roster, and may be looking to get in on the Infinite line-up. The idea of Groot and Rocket teaming up as one fighter would bring a lot more firepower and utility to the fighter(s).
Punisher (Marvel)
The Punisher is one of the most requested characters to appear in an MVC game. As a one-man army, The Punisher is an expert fighter and close-range specialist that could become the game’s new gun-frenzy character.
Black Panther (Marvel)
With the new game’s focus on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Black Panther is another likely addition.
Black Panther’s high-octane appearance in the Civil War movie has created a lot of hype and anticipation for the character’s inclusion into the game.

I wonder if the guys at Capcom would look forward to making a character out of a blank slate like Black Panther, or roll their eyes at Marvel giving them a whole lot of nothing to work with.
Boo to Punisher. The character in general irks me and I’d rather give the “gritty guy with all the guns” role to one of the RE protagonists (like Leon).

A Reed Richard that plays like Captain Commando using assist among the rest of the FF would work great though
There nothing gritty about Leon. If the game is going to have a guy with guns I would like it to be Punisher. He doesn’t have anything else going for him.

They put characters in that site you best believe people will dig through the site’s code for anything.
Capcom was salty as fuck the UMVC3 roster leaked in the same day. They won’t allow it to happen again.

Anyway, with Monster Hunter Stories getting localized, i wonder if that helps the protagonist’s chances to make it into Infinite.
I don’t see that happening, least not in a non sprite fighter.
Besides, i doubt they’d pick Reed, especially since Sue and Johnny would be the ones with a more unique line up. Plus Johnny was the one member of the FF that almost made it into MvC3 last time.
That said, Doom has a better chance of making it than any of the F4.
Black Panther and Loki are the most interesting ones to me. Assuming they’re in, I really wonder how their movesets would look. Loki seems like the perfect type to have an annoying playstyle. Most people like to say T’Challa would be a Wolvie clone, but he fights nothing like him. I could see T’Challa being a rushdown type with Vibranium Daggars as his projectile.
Black Panther uses a lot of tech too. So his moves could use that.
Bear in mind, F4 were presented in H&H as one card, S-Class no less.

i dunno how marvel would feel if the rest of the F4 characters were only in the game as moves. I dunno how big sue, johnny or ben are on their own but i’m sure their bigger than henchmens or other playable characters in a super old game
Pretty sure Sue, Johnny, and Ben are all individually more popular than Reed.
