MvC 3 Netcode

But the DBZ is stripped down visually, running on bare essentials. The fact that 3D has to do that shows the issue with GGPO it is, in part, 3D.

How is this an excuse? They’ve planned this for over a year, they’re a large corporation, and they even predict the sales of millions of units. They should have been prepared right out of the gate.

You’re an idiot. They’re not going to spend the thousands more dollars so one week can be completely without issue and then shut down those wasted servers the next week/month. They know they’ll get slammed first week. I have never seen a game not have first day issues with online if it’s a remotely big title. It’s simply not worth the money. They already shipped the product to retailers and their infrastructure is totally fine. Just not when it’s bombarded all day by 75% of the people who will end up buying it.

This seems to be a ranked search fix: instead of “any” for language, select english.

So I was hallucinating the SFIV and SSFIV launches then?

you’re a god

So how many of you are exaggerating? People are telling me lag is barely noticeable on more casual forums, but they probably aren’t as sensitive to lag as better players.

You have no idea what you’re talking about.

Good lag-free games all round so far. People who complain about lag on this and on SSF4… I don’t get it. Apart from one time last year I’ve never had a problem with the netcode. And when I did it was because my ISP was having technical difficulties in my area. Could it be there is a problem with you service provider? Not belabour the obvious or whatever.

.

Um…how can you tell connection strength? It sucks having to wait until the character intro to see if the opponent’s connection sucks. By that time, you’re already committed.

This game is mad fun! Couldn’t really find anyone online when I did the search so I played my friend (who is in SSF4 never lags) a bit laggy. I couldn’t really move much like a bar 3 in the simulation.

I’ve been playing all day today i’ve gotten 2 lagged matches out of the 50 or so I’ve had so far. Loving it.

I’ve gotten a fair amount of lag in some matches, but others were smooth, so it was mixed in my experience.

I don’t like how we can’t see what the other persons connection is you just have to commit to it. They should give us a choice like they did with tekken6 Online or just make it like SSF4 where we can scan through a list of games.

So far my experience with online has been less then impressive. Played 20 games and only 1 was decent the rest were so laggy I couldn’t even link a simple abcd combo without 1 of my inputs dropping.

BBCT was flawless for me online. BBCS was unplayable. MvC3 is pretty laggy for me. I can scrub with Dormammu, but doing most BnBs are troublesome.

they need to patch this its really really bad and offensive to me

You know the netplay is going to be bad if the developers felt the need to include a lag simulator in training mode. Think about that.

Haven’t played online yet, and after reading this thread its pretty alarming. Once again, it seems that capcom’s promise of great net code etc. is bs? Man, hope this isn’t the case, because that will be really disappointing.

I played a solid 40+ matches with my brother who is 600 miles away who has a good connection which is properly set up…

In the first match, we both noticed a delay (typical "playing under water stuff). After the first match, we didn’t notice it anymore. that could me that we got use to the delay, or that it actually got better, I honestly cant say.

When vs randoms online, it was a mixed bag, some were very good, others were bogged down.

From my first day test, it seems to be about the same as ssf4 or slightly worse.

Don’t take online play seriously, that’s all I can say. The game is very fun, and you can still have fun online.

The netcode is not too bad, especially for a game that has so much stuff going on at the same time during the match.

I’ve played a bunch online fighters where the lag was 50x worst than MvC3, so MvC3’s netcode is actually good.
