I despise this game’s online mode. Add to it somehow eating your inputs or making all of Wolverine’s attacks one frame and beating out everything you throw at him. Even punishable moves somehow have faster recovery online. It’s complete balls.
When we were playing it was doing a pretty good job, but that seems to be the very rare exception.
And even then inputs were dropping.
It seems that online AE is much better on the PC than the consoles… could this be a solution to the MvC3 online lag? Put it up on the PC?
terrible netcode
this shit is ridonkeilous. I am used to lag(at least was before when I played cvs2). marvel on ps3 is fkn retarded. its not JUST input delay. at times supers wont even come out.
Only real problem I see is some teleport moves being very hard to block.
Wesker with Magneto assist has online-only unblockeables
I didn’t know, my bad. :xeye:
Could you explain how they work?
Edit: Just to clarify a bit. I’m not saying online is as good as offline, I’m just saying it’s not as bad as most people make it to be.
They arent really unblockeables, its just that if wesker hits you with a poke and presses Mag’s assist at the same time, and then ground teleport to the other side, the lag online makes it so you have to begin blocking waaaaay before the EM disruptor even starts or it hits you
such a godlike technique online
Perhaps the next Marvel, (Super, but I’d rather it be called Ultimate personally) will have better net code. But to be honest I haven’t played any fighting games yet that don’t lag online. Kinda lame.
search any Mexico
search same Mexico
I’m not sure you have to press much before it goes off to block it but I haven’t got it done to me so I can’t say for sure. People did similar things to me and I have blocked a few of those by reaction and anticipation but never against a fisher price internet oppenent (and not so laggy, just boderline 4 bars is enough in some cases).
Guess I’m just lucky…most of my matches, I’d say 95%, maybe higher ~ have no lag at all. If I’m hosting (or at least I would assume it means you’re hosting when you are p1 and you pick the stage) I never have lag (18/2 U-Verse). If I’m connecting, usually I don’t have lag unless the other person’s connection is absolute shit and in that case I usually exit after 1 game.
Don’t know if it has anything to do with ranked, player or lobby…I never do lobby matches, and I do probably a 30% ranked / 70% player (usually don’t find any ranked matches so I do them less often).
so would you say the netcode is definitely good enough for you
This…
Yessir
thats cool to be able to tell everyone you have no motor skill or eye hand coordination
I wonder if you’re able to punish consistently punish with high execution characters (I know there isnt such a thing in MVC3, but I mean in based on MVC3 standards)
Should I be angry for being perfected by hulk spidey ryu. Using wolvy sent phoenix. I was losing consistently. The reason why I use this team is because magneto is basically unplayable. Also this team has simple combos, but I still can’t finish my plate. Besides the match I got perfected, when I used dark phoenix I kept trying to use fireballs but instead got teleports? I swear that if i’m mashing the mashed buttons come out no matter wat. Also if i’m blocking one way and then switch to another way on reaction then I’m still holding the previious way. This is why I’m a training mode person.
Should I be angry? Depressed? Is there characters that work better online?
I am not an amazing player by any means not offline either. I will tell you that online was depressing for me for a long time until I switched to characters who can do basic (like magic series) combos that will never drop in medium lag. Wesker is who I like personally because you can just do his magic series otg assist otg assit reset and it works easily online. I am sure there are other characters you can use that are more online friendly if you are having a bad time. I know it sucks.
I used to play Marvel online a lot. Then I went to a local casual session for the first time, and noticed how well I was blocking. Then I noticed how often I was finishing combos. Afterwards, I couldn’t stand to play Marvel 3 online. I can go between online and offline with SF4 and BB decently, but Marvel is a completely different beast.
Marvel online is god awful.
