MvC 3 Netcode

4 movies of 500gb each one o_O

That was me. They were each 10 disc Dual layered Blu-ray movies… HAVEN’T YOU EVER SEEN ONE BEFORE??

Also, as for it being better on release, it could actually wind up being worse once the servers get slammed to no end. I expect a online patch shortly after release. This game is selling really quickly.

Dude must REALLY love his shit I guess. I mean, damn.

You must be able to see all the surgery scars and wrinkles D:

I had a problem for over a year with cablevision. All was fine till 6pm then BAM, horrible connection. Id get instant 1 bars OR 5 green in SSF4. And obviously lagging. But funny because Id connect to my friends and talking is fine and they always saw me with green bars, but 1 might see me with 1 red. 12:30am, all back to normal.
Dl times during the horror would be 300k, normal time 1.6mb.
I got fios now, uploading 500k a sec, dling crap and still green bars.

Sidenote, AI gives me mortal kombat horror flashbacks. Crouching next to AI, go to jab, get thrown.
Go to throw them, get thrown. Have it on very easy to do quick runs, AI will tech a throw 5x in a row. Also seems Haggars command can be teched.
I jump up close and SheHulk insta antiair throws…
Did you know in Mortal Kombat 2 if you froze the AI with SubZero and throw them, they still throw you first even though they are still blue and clearly frozen?

My experience so far:
Playing against people who I know have reasonable connections:FANTASTIC. No problems at all.
Playing against random people online: mixed bag,but only 1 underwater match out of over 50 played, maybe 3 or 4 where input delay was significant.

As far as getting the game early, I ordered mine from capcom, and yeah maybe I did the free release day promo…and then called in and had the shipping changed to overnight air mail… so that it shipped out at the same time as the free 5 day release day shipping, but went into a plane instead of a truck… but that s no reason to say I got it before i I was supposed to, I mean I ordered it FROM CAPCOM… if they didnt want me to have it so soon, they should have told me not to do anything sneaky…

I’ve only been playing people that I know IRL and live close or in the same city. This wasn’t an issue with SSF4 when we got it early. If there’s a patch or something on release then that would make sense. Yes I did think before I posted.

I’ve noticed the same delay from my copy on the ps3 and my friend’s copy on his 360, I’ll hold my own judgment till release and see what happens. Tho I will say even with the slight delay, it didn’t show up in every match and when it was there it was still playable and fun.

I’ve had really smooth connections, but I assume its because most of the players on Fri-Sat got it early in NYC so that they are local to me.

Barely playable here in NC…

It feels like it’s d8 or d10. I try to do combos, but no dice. Jumping in and mashing 2a or a fast special works way better.

well, after going back and forth from offline to online, it’s now clear to me that online is significantly slower and less fluid even during the best of connections

Thus the online is trash, moving on.

The netcode is absolutely TERRIBLE! ATROCIOUS!

I can’t tell you how bad it is. Every SINGLE freaking time I’m about to deliver the last blow to my opponent and secure my victory, I lose the connection with my opponent! It’s so frustrating!

Sounds more like someone is opening the gates of Hell.

Doesn’t just about every popular game with online play lag a bit the first couple of days?

Patience.

Don’t a lot of these games have day one patches?

Hopefully they boost the netcode a little on day one.

i salute him

Did like 30 online matches on PSN, known to have the most laggy players because a lot of them use wireless to play… it’s playable. It’s about as good as SF4 netcode, and possibly better because there’s no spectator mode or anything like that.

I cannot see where the bars are while doing ranked mode. I just assumed it would find the best 5 or 4 bar matches to pair up. So far majority of my ranked matches are not as noticeable in lag.

But this game is really lenient on input as well so it’s hard to tell if you’re messing up.

well its 12:42 EST here, the games officially launched for a over a half hour…

netcode is bad. really really bad. random freezes everywhere, in friendly matches

I use a wired connection. and it’s been superb thus far. i’ve had the game since Friday, haven’t had an issue yet. nothing is like offline play, but this is far from what i’d call “atrocious”
