Hey everybody, I’m another newbie trying to build a game of mugen for myself, and on top of being new I’m very old (I remember when Atari came out, not to mention games like Karate Champ and the first Street Fighter) so because of my age I am also “technologically challenged.” I swear, kids half my age use computers twice as good!
From what I understand, many people are making some of my favorite characters private because of people ripping them off, and I understand that. But I’m just a normal guy at the mercy of a computer I don’t understand so I can’t make the characters myself.
If anyone can help me find any of these, please let me know. And if you are an “author” of one of these characters, or if you will make them for me, know that I’m willing to pay you for it.

Again I’m just a normal guy, and old as you can probably tell from my choice of characters, and I certainly agree that people should not have their hard work ripped off from them, so if anyone can give me good versions of the things I want I can pay them.
Oh yeah, and there is writing on my screen whenever I push some buttons. How do I get rid of that? And how do I fix it when I download a character, but not all the buttons work for them, i.e. Ryu only has Short Kick and Strong Punch?

Didnt the first MUGEN thread erupt in flames because people were posting characters that others needed and some of the makers started crying to the high heavens?
What the fuck is “warehousing” ? Half these sites are either DEAD, INACTIVE, FULL OF VIRUSES, IN ANOTHER LANGUAGE or a COMBINATION of the previous. It is SO difficult to get what you need because everything is so widespread.

Warehousing is hosting characters/Stages without the author’s permission.
Not really harmful since people are hosting emulators, sprites, and pictures without the author’s permission and everything is fine. Creators are just pussies about it.
If i recall correctly they didnt take credit for the characters they just posted them because the links were inactive or hard to find.
Did you ask capcom for the sprites before you rip them from the cd shithead?
The Mugen community is the epitome of ridiculous. If I was pressed I’d host all 500 of my characters to a server and create a mass Mugen community suicide.

The “MUGEN community suicide” you are speaking of is actually occurring, thanks to our board. We’ve been hosting a bunch of characters for a while now, and the community is changing its own rules thanks to it. At the same time, the pussies who never did anything before the “OFFICIAL RULE CHANGE” are setting up clone site after clone site.
I called the idiotic community on its claims of holding copyright over the characters, and they folded faster than Superman on laundry day. Good times.

I finally deleted Mugen from my computer. Hooray.
FYI, most of the characters you want are at Mugen Infantry, if you have enough intelligence to look in the right places.
