No,I made the pack from scratch. Everything works. I used a modified EVE screenpack. I meant to replace it eventually but I havent gottten around to it.
There any place where you can download a “completed” set of Mugen chars and stages? I see videos with people runnig it with 3S/CvS2 interfaces, etc.
I wanna see where I can nab all that. Some of the OP sites are either down, lead to porn, or just showcase w/o a DL link. Been toying with this all day
Check page 11. It doesnt use CVS or 3s, but a mixture of SC, GG and others
K, I’m looking for a good screenpack that holds lots of characters. I have EvsE, but for some reason it only lets me add characters in the roster already? like the names I add, the characters only show up if they have a specified name already in the DEF file, and adding the name doesn’t work. Also, the character selection is kinda wonky and I don’t know how to organize it in a better way.
Are there any basic screenpacks you guys would recommend for a decent amount of characters? like say, 50-100?

I don’t get it. It sounds like you’re doing something wrong. I use EVE. Here’s how I add a new character, say, the mvc2 version of Rock Howard.
1 Download the character
2 Open zip file
3A if I see info files (rock.snd, rock.pal ect) I chose "unzip to"
3B If I see just a folder inside the zip file, I grab that and move it to my Characters folder.
4 I open the folder and see what the creator has the .def file named, because sometimes they’ll give the folder a different name than the def, and both need to have the same name and spelling for the char to be successfully added. Rename either the folder or .def file if necessary.
5 Back out of Characters folder and go to Data Folder. Open the “select.def” file
6 Scroll down to the game style your character plays as (Rock mvc2 is an snk character, but since he plays mvc2 style, I put him in the MARVEL section with the likes of Psylocke and Wolverine)
7 When you come to an available open slot for adding a char, you’ll see CharaName[12] (the number 12 is just for this example, any number could be there depending on how many characters are already occupying slots in the series’ section)
8 erase everything on that line except for the brackets and the numbers within.
9 go to the left margin next to the outside of the bracket and type the name on the character’s def file followed by a comma, space once, “random,” , space once, and “order=2”
It should look like this
mvcrock, random, order=2[12]
10 close select.def and save changes
11 After that. fire up EVE, go to the appropriate game section, and press left (because the latest character in any section is always at the bottom, and by pressing left, you are cycling through the characters backwards), select them and play.
If you’re not following those steps, you fuckin’ up, son.
I think the problem is that I have a ‘starter pack’ or something. I know how to add characters just as you described, but in the version of EVE that I have, the characters are arranged without the stages behind their names, and the character names appear between sets of “PPPP” or “////”. I’m going to recheck for a link to the Screenpack only, see if that is my problem.

I was lot like you were, but I did manage to get the shit working and get every character and stage I wanted.
Considering 99% of the MUGEN scenes consist of the biggest assholes/crybabies on the planet, I understand how hard it is to get a decent MUGEN pack.
No sense in sucking “creators” off 24/7 through their message boards jus to get a damn 28 KB .def file. Fuck them, use the shit I put together, enjoy it.
I’m gonna update it in a week, maybe 2. More stages, characters, music and features.
So if there’s requests, let me know. I still havent added in the Alpha chars, I have some new Marvel, and probably some more.
Okay, do any of y’all know where I can find some King of Fighters XI characters? I’m trying to make a King of Fighters dreammatch with the lastest official release of each character; however, all I’ve found related to XI were the edit charaters minus Adeheid, Oswald, Duck King, Vanessa, Athena, Eiji, and Duo Lon. As you can see, that’s a problem. 
how do i add the intro thing when u first start it?
As far as the DC vs Marvel project is considered anyone have the Batman files? They removed off the official site since someone stole it.
Edit: taskmaster, any chance of having everything uploaded to the SRK FTP? (Stabby’s in GD). It would help get rid of the rapidshare. Just an idea.
