I dunno im kinda lazy…
Anybody can just toss together a mugen game and host it but it does take work to balence it give it the right cast make what works and such. My first mugen took me 3 months of fine tuning and it wasn’t exactly balenced.
I’ve wanted to try KOF 91 but I never really got it off the ground.
Exactly so I do it for you and give you exactly what you want.
Now listen to any pissed off creators that maybe reading this, I apprecate what you do, I hope I can some day learn to rip my own characters. I apprecate what you do and you should be flattered I though higly enough of your creations to put it in my work and if you’d stop being a dick about where your precious fan art ends up then maybe you’d see a nice little TXT file thanking you with the sequel.
Next person that bitches about what I do and such a thanks will NOT be included with part 2.
The Mugen crowd with a few execptions (Sander/Mae the real fighter/ DJ Van) are the most uptight groups of people I have ever seen and seriously, you guys need to chill, there are worse things in the world than some guy making a game for his friends and a few hundred people who are fed up with SNK and Capcom.
QFT
I don’t have time to learn how the fuck to work with MUGEN. Stuff like MY’s game is good for people like me.
But you have time to download alot of shit for mugen huh?
@The Topic Starter
How are you going to balance something when you can’t even program in the first place and balance these other peoples characters with accuracy?
The only thing you sucessfully done is waste someones webspace with a worthless download.
Your missing out. Its impossible for someone to host all the characters that people want in one game. Thats the point of making a custom game so that you can have all of your favorite characters in it. It literally is- you download a character, drop the unzipped folder in the char folder of mugen and add the name of it to the select def. Same with stages. The screen packs usually come with directions on how to install them. The only thing new people might have an issue with is how the arcade order system works. However, like with any program (photoshop for instance- I use to depend on others to make sigs and what not for me a long time ago, but I learned how to use it and now I can make my own graphics) it may have a learning curve. However all default versions of mugen come with a folder called docs, which explains how to add characters among other things. It really isn’t that hard.
I personally thought mugen was a dbz game when I got it 5 years ago. I kept looking for full games, but they weren’t that many and I kept seeing other characters- I didn’t know how to add them. I found the electbyte site and downloaded the base version and I was like “WTF IS KFM?” I read the docs folder and started making my own game from there. It really wasn’t that hard the only thing I had trouble with back then was figuring out what rar files were, arcade order (which I made a guide for others who don’t know how to set it up), and why certain characters didn’t work (it turned out that the characters didn’t work because the .def file had a different name than the character folder, or I didn’t download the whole character because the creator separated the sound file for 56k’ers)
It does take about 6 hours to download or more I think from file front. It tends to slow down to 13 kbs or slower on large downloads these days.
I wouldn’t use words like “worthless”- not trying to start a war here or anything. But what SyN is trying to say I guess is- if people wanted there could be like 8 or 9 threads with people that put together a mugen game. The creators that make mugen games make all original stuff, but anyone here can start a thread it seems here with a game they made. There’s nothing distiguishable about them since people can get the characters from the creator’s site and make their own game.
Hey fuckface that was in support of the maker. Suck a dick no homo.
I’m not even going to aknowledge Syn anymore.
In fact I won’t aknowledge anybody that shows me disrespect.
Consider that most of you were probably not even born when I first started playing Karate Champ.
Gah, Now I know how John Cena feels people loved him at first then started to shit on him for whatever reason.
Same thing is happening to me. But I’ll just say what he said, If you’re with me fine if you’re not Kiss my ass.
Lmao
Don’t get mad at the truth. Accept it, Deal with it, GET OVER IT!
I thought Michiyo wanted to put together a Mugen game that he wanted to share with other people. Also I recall Michiyo saying that he put together the game, not create chracters, stages, etc.
So was mine! HAHAHAHA!!! I said Quoted For Truth because I’m too lazy to make my own MUGEN. So, I like the topic creator’s work because I don’t have to do anything.
On that note, I may be missing out, but I really am too busy. Besides, I’m already working on stuff in the SRK game Shobu.
But this isn’t really work, it’s just you taking creator’s stuff and putting it together in a way that looks good.
“Work” would entail modifying the characters so they at least play balanced to each other than they do, cleaning up bugs that exist, etc. Anyone can throw chars like this into a game, tweak a few things and call it a day: that doesn’t take work. That’s all anyone here is saying in regarding to ‘your’ game. If everyone does it for you, is it really yours?
I was writing programs when you were probably still in diapers
You’re coming across more like Uwe Boll actually.
@Everyone: Really sorry for the fuss that’s stirring up here, we’re just rather protective of each other’s work (and yeah, commercial char-based or not there’s still a literal shitload of work that’s needed to build these things. It isn’t some flash in the pan stuff like BoR)
Don’t hate YOU CAN’T SEE ME
Now that I’ve Sunk to quoting my least favorite Wrestler I can let my fans know that part 2 is coming along alot fater than I thought it would and should be ready very soon.
Depends on if I can get the pictures for the endings taken or not.
And like us so called high and mighty people said, Its not that he put this game together (anyone can do that), the problem is not only its up for download “warehousing” but this guy claims this as his work. Thats why we are so touchy about this. This quote below supports my statement,
Thats what work would be, even if he taking these already exsiting characters created by many others and correct the many errors withn their programming files to better balancing them for better play and remove alot of the glitches, also some of these sff were rumored to have missing sprites also some of the characters sprites dont have its correct axis. That would be considered work and a real so-called fix besides rambling through the internet in hopes of serching for better versions of the character and hoping an update or fix were made for already existing characters within this sad excuse of a Full Game so this person calls it. So before releasing a fix to this so called full game, you have alot of work to do partnah.
Thats our gripe. I dont care how harsh my posts were or even if they were considered disrespectful, which they werent. I am stating the truth and the topic starter refuse to get it and let it sink in his thick ass skull.
You know I didn’t waste every stinkin minute of my life making my creations and sharing it with everyone just to see people claiming them as there own. And I wondered why most of the creators quit…
I agree with the whole getting private thing, I don’t care about these stupid people anymore.
Okay, enough. This thread is done. Peeps know where to dl this monster if they so please. Michiyo, I suggest you take a look at what everyone has been saying. It doesn’t matter if the guild shits on you, just put the damn credits in there. This could’ve all been avoided if you just put “This game was arranged by ___________”.
I don’t want to see any repeat threads on this, either air your shit out over PM, continue the discussion(of the pack, not of the ethics of the creation of the pack) in the Mugen thread, or STFU until the next revision is made.
This goes for everyone.
