I think you mean an open format. Just because something can be opened up and viewed doesn’t make it open source though. It’s up to the individual behind a work to make something open source or not, not internet mentality.

It’s kinda like how you can take apart your blender, but can’t steal the thing’s design and market it as your own.

This is reverse engineering, and reengineering. Legal in most territories, including the USA.

While the definition of open source does imply that you both have the code AND the authorization to alter/use it… we are talking about re-created characters for a freeware fighter maker here. I think the authorization was implied when the ORIGINAL creators of the characters (ie Capcom and SNK) said they didnt care.

When this is released and people don’t like the game I will close the thread myself. But I don’t see that happening.

And yes I was familiar about thread but that was in regards to mugen as a whole and not completed games. But that’s just my opinion.

I respect whatever it is u chose to do.

LOL I know what Mugen is about. I’m saying can YOU add in Tessa and Rainbow Mika and work on them like you’re doin’ with all the other characters. Also, are all the characters gonna have the CVS2 sprites/toonish looking?

Adam…although I really appreciate you helping me and the longevity of this thread and the interest for this game…I am going to ask that from here on out we only discuss things in regards to the game’s game play, characters involved, stages, music, etc.

Please let’s not drag what’s legal and not…allow me to worry about that…which I have already took into consideration before making this thread.

I am asking everyone to stop with the war and let’s focus on the positives.

However I found an annoying glitch with Tabasa, when I was thinking about adding her in a previous game I was working on. FYI, if u decide to add her.

Nice try there, I gotta admit, but I can’t be biased cuz you play Arcana. Good shit though.

But I am making an attempt to keep this thread clean and focused on the game…and not on the arguing and spam, etc.

So I hope everyone will take that into consideration too. I just want to release the game get peoples opinions and go from there…so I hope I can be granted that…

When I used to try to balance my mugen mixes, i put the focus on HP. If the character was too strong, less hp. weak? more hp. But i didnt know how to do much else.

That’s kinda what I’m doing. And as far as I can tell, everything is smoothed out. Characters that lack in combo are strong, but not overwhelming. Characters that are combo friendly dish out, fair damage…but not too much. So you’d have to do a very complex combo/juggle to make it worthwhile.

W.Krauser is so good!!! But I’ll leave it up to you guys to find out why.

I stand corrected. just a quick ?, is the sound any good for this game cause I dont know if its mugen itself or the characters but a lot of the sound FX are really bad.
Does your game correct this or is it just the program.

Z!M: I think the sound is stellar. It works great for my laptop and sounds pretty clear. I did edit a couple of lines in the Mugen Config. in the data folder!!! To make it better and clearer! Well to me anyways…LOL!!!
