Well every other tournament in the states is over 10$ of venue fee … also the bigger the venue the more $$ I need to waste so id like to at least cover my investments… Also MAT this year is part of the Evo Tournament Season we must make it big cant just be some regular tournament … so the more We bring to the table the more we need to charge for the show.
Also tourney is not outside its inside the white huts but we can chill outside on the roof to take fresh air and what not…

Pros:
He still has his crazy damage, he still has his armored moves, he still has fly/ double jump, he still has the best assist, he still has amazing hypers/ dhc ability.
Cons:
He’s a little slow, his hitbox is huge and he has average health now.
If it promotes people to look at more of his offensive/defense options rather than assume he’s easy mode for an easy win, then I don’t think it’s such a bad thing.
Personally I would have liked to have seen a minor health decrease, a significant damage nerf but a boost in speed. I think that would have made him more technical and closer to his Marvel 2 self.
The really strange thing about this is why all of a sudden nerf 1 character? Clearly Pheonix is/was at the same level of OP as Sentinel. I really like her as a character, but her health is SO shitty that you have to keep her for dark pheonix, at which point you’re SO powerful that you barely have to try. I would have liked to have seen her become a normal life character 800k health lets say, and just have the dark pheonix damage reduced to only 20-30% more than regular Jean. That way you’d have more of an opportunity to play her as a regular character and/or play the dark pheonix game.
Meh, anyway we all know the real problems are X factor and the state of online interface/gameplay.

Just came back from my meeting at Le Palais de Congrais…
We need to forget about the rooftop idea its way too expensive because you need to rent the cafeteria to get access to the rooftop with the outside white castle and the terrasse itself… BUT
They found us a spot of 3000 Square Feet and this looks like its going to be it
Now to fit this in my budget … Anyone interested in sponsoring the event get in touch with me we will need help to get this venue !!
Fits 309 people and we would get Free Internet (usually its 300$ per day) Also we need to figure out how many stations we will run on because this will play on the price because of how many power outlets are needed to be installed (yes its extra lol)
So yeah anyone that wants to get involved in this new project get to me ASAP… Palais is looking forward to work with us for MAT and future events they even showed me a spot where its not available yet but would be sick for raves / tournaments its got the Montreal feel to it but because ventilation is not 100% up in there it can be used for future events…

I know we got 200 people walking in Foonzo for Nemesis 2 I dont see why we cant get that number for MAT this year …

Remember this event is directly associated to EVO
Well its an EVO tournament and the Americans (esp Empire,DMG etc etc) will be very tempted to come since The West Coast has pretty much taken all the EVO points up untill now. If we have the big names coming here we need to market this tournament around those names , Nemesis 2 was a succeess because we had some very popular names at the event and thats what brought all the NAHs out of their houses except for the MTL NAH Captain.
