So Pierre, you’re saying no more walk-ins? Exclusive to founders? I remember not too long ago you seemed to encourage new competition… And those Blazblue guys, they became founders because at first it was available to them by walk-ins, just checking the place out. I’m sure when it comes to buying new gear and keeping HQ healthy & running, 5$ a head probably helps at least just a bit. A little accounting doesn’t make it a business necessarily.

But what I really don’t understand is why all this tension between MTLSF & Foonzo? ‘People are cheap and would rather not pay to play’ I think is not applicable if anyways you don’t want non-founders at HQ. And if founders go there, well its at their loss, what does it matter to the HQ… just less cleaning up. Foonzo looks like a chill place, just like MTLSF, so what. Just another place where people play SF, even owned by people who have supported you guys for a while.

At first, I thought about it the same way, but after talking with Pierre, it made a lot more sense.

There have been many problems related to non-regulars, such as littering the place, running off without paying, using someone’s stick without asking, bla bla bla. Also, there have been times where regulars weren’t aware of opening times (Even though it’s always posted on the thread) and showed up while the doors were locked… which isn’t a problem for HQ per se, but for those people who do show up, well it would be more convenient to know that HQ is open for specific days for them.

Now, you may think this is a classic case of a few people who ruin the fun for everyone else, but actually, it makes more sense. It makes HQ into more of a Team or a club. On Tuesdays or Saturdays or whatever day is chosen, we get to showcase our talents for the non members to see and show you guys a piece of what you can be part of. You’ve seen what’s been going on, right? MTLSF is getting stronger and stronger and we’re starting to make a large impact on the world scene. Pierre has actually been contacted by companies overseas wanting to sponsor MTLSF events. Uvixo recently decided to not only sponsor events, but HQ itself. The LanETS SSF4 tournament is going to be a collaboration where SSF4 is getting the chance to be a part of mainstream gaming. The last LanETS was a WCG qualifier by the way.

For MTLSF to continue to develop, HQ doesn’t need more people coming in as 5$ walk-ins, HQ needs members. Members that will help run tournaments, help organize events, help getting sponsors, help running the venue, help train others, help maintain equipment, etc.

For the record, forever heero is still a dumbass as usual.

Size chart we have is from Small to XL
Ill check with Alex about lager sizes.

If people need a size that’s not available anymore I can order them for you and you just pick up at HQ.

Ok I understand your motives better now. And don’t get me wrong, I’m not talking shit, just pointing out some things I notice from an exterior view. I’m all for the wellbeing of HQ, and thanks Pierre for what you do for the community, it’s good that you follow your initial ambition of having en exclusive club with respectful, regular members and whatnot. 2 simple reasons keep me from joining:

1-Combination of money and time, I only have a little of both.
2-I’m afraid being in the same room as veas might turn me into a complete moron.

Anyways, if you think you can run HQ off only founders, I hope it goes well for you.
