Ms. Fortune: Falling to Pieces

You can connect another om nom nom off of the slide at the end, looked like you had time to in that video as well. Really cool mid screen stuff though. Is it pretty consistent?

Yeah you can follow up from that but i would prefer having the knockdown and using that time to set up a sandwich.
Yeah its pretty easy once you get it in muscle memory and easy to confirm off random hits. The only thing is that i have the habit of using j.MP, j.MK when i first use a launch, but you need it later in the combo. Thats just breaking habits though.

you can do nom loop midscreen with a little creativity…

So does anyone have Om Nom Nom Nom as an assist or at least tried it?

you can’t make it an assist

My good friend worldjem found a disgusting combo with Ms. 4chan. The combo does 14732 @ 1.00x. Yes, it works on everyone.

Knowing that either IPS will be put on the head or the Nom loop will be patched makes me sort of not want to learn any Nom loops. A waste of energy, IMO.

I’m slowly working my way through the other characters, but while mashing stuff out to get a feel for Ms. Fortune… in the corner with the head on top of them does cancelling moves with the head recall have any potential use. I was kind of getting a little combo off it from s.hk into another ground chain to s.hk. I’ll see if I can flesh it out later, but not really sure it’ll be practical lol. Still learning her and stuff >< .

What are some good Ms. Fortune starter bnb combos which get me familiar to the character? I’m super new to Anime games and looking for some help. =/

Welcome. I suggest you read the character guide I wrote in the Ms. Fortune subforum where you found this thread.

Possible BnBs are hard to describe because they can start many ways. First thing to note is Fortune can do 5-normal chains: LP, LK, MP, MK, HP/HK, crouching, standing or in the air. If you hit the normals in sequence from light to medium to heavy as written, you have one possible chain. But you can omit attacks (and you want to at first) in order to not mess with the infinite prevention system.

She can go from the standing chain at any point into crouching and then back to standing. So s.LP, c.LK, c.MP, s.MK, c.HK chains perfectly.

s.HK is her launcher of choice since it will always be available to her. From there, try j.MK (2 hits) xx qcb+MK xx qcb+KK. Or j.MK (2 hits) xx qcb+P. Or j.HP xx dash, j.MK (2 hits) into either of the previous two options.

I do suggest you read the guide to have an idea of the stuff she can do.

Heres a thing
complete notation: (starting with head on) jHP, qcb LK, crLK, crMP, stMK, stHP, qcf HPx2, qcf K, crLK, stHK, fiber uppercut MP (follow up with K), air MP, qcb HP, jLK, stMP, qcb HP, stLPx2, stLK, stMK, qcf LP, qcb HP, jMK, qcb MK, cr LPx2, stMP, stMK, qcb HP, qcf MPx3, qcf 2P

It’s sure if you hold down HP you can squeeze a second rekka out of that rekka chain, then negative edge to get the omnom. Also, by holding down HP you can do rekkas before the first omnom. Very nice, gives me a few ideas.

Also, use MP for that one lonely rekka (and the followup if you hold down HP). Did you do it do the head won’t get hit? Holding HP will make it invincible to your own attacks, then letting it go counts as a button press so you can still do omnom.

What are some resets you guys use?
Outside of a air dash canceled normal into air through, I do

c.LK, c.MP, s.MK, s.HK, IAD j.LK(whiff).

On most characters this crosses under (some characters need an additional delay before hitting j.LK) and allows for c.LK/IADj.HP/IAj.LK-AD-j.LK-j.MP/Grab stuff. (IAD being instant air dash, IA being instant air) Jumping back before doing IAD j.LK allows for you to stay on the same side.
After a cross under (though you can do it from a non cross under too) you can do IADj.HP Crossup on some small characters, though I’m pretty sure sjIAD j.LK-j.MP would work on a lot more.

Didn’t know you wouldn’t hit the head if you held down HP. Nice. So after adding rekka LPx2 into omnom after the ground bounce > jLK > stMP, this is a TOD if you’re playing solo Fortune against a ratio 3 team.

A reset I use is j.mk xx dash, throw. Applies to most air combos into j.mk. Also, s.hk, j.lp, j.lk, throw. And air qcb+kk, headless dp+hp, early j.lp, throw. Also, head and opponent in corner, s.hk, IAD, throw, qcb+hp lol

Found a 100% with fortune / painwheel / whoever that builds enough meter by itself to do the job. Basically you do whatever into full omnomnom loop, then at the end of the omnom loop while the head is biting them, hard tag to painwheel and cancel into flight off the tag hitting, then combo off that for a full painwheel combo, super with painwheel and it should do 100% pretty easy. If not you can just super again and it definitely does 100%.

So basically, omnomnom lets you hard tag to whatever character you want if they can combo off their tag, then get a full other combo. Really practical and not hard at all to apply.

Actually I did that yesterday by accident and realized how stupid it was.

Whenever Nom loop is patched, know that you can do full combo into one Nom, and Nom stuns long enough for hard tags to hit. Very, very sickening.

Yep, I got a post nom patch BNB planned out already for it. Till then I’m abusing this even more though lol People are going to be mad watching 30 second combos off every opening.

Sad thing is that I only found this was possible because I was playing against my wife in a team of 3. I usually just do solo Fortune.

My Fortune needs some work. I don’t think rekka spam in the corner with the head also rolling with the punches is a effective tactic (well it’s been effective to a point). I need to learn some BnBs for her. But whenever I tried I normally just revert back to rekka spam in actual battle.
Even though I keep saying rekka spam I don’t do it all the time. My brain just turns to mush and likes to keep doing QCF+P all the time…
