Yes this game is dominated by Chun and Yun. Accept it. It’s a fact. It doesn’t diminish the game or make it less fun to watch/play.

Chun is powerful, we get it. Lots of Chuns in competitive play means we see a lot of the same thing over and over.
Chun v Chun can be pretty hype. In a matchup like that, it’s more about outplaying your opponent meaning, finding out who is the better player.

YCK dominates less in Japan because they have character specialists who have spent many years “mastering” matchups vs the top tier against players who are the highest level of skill in the game. Also, the single elimination tournament format gives the non-top tier character better odds.

Depends on the character, but for the most part yeah. Ever seen Yun v Yun where first guy to hit after activation wins? Urien mirrors = guy in the corner loses.

best thing to do is ignore the haters of this game or any of your favorite games. it’s just not worth the frustration. i’ll admit 3s has shit balance but even so it’s like crack. you can’t get enough and that’s really something. i find sf4 pretty boring most of the time and yet it’s very well balanced. balance does not equal fun. it can tarnish it a bit but 3s is that good where it can get away with it. mr wizard hates almost every popular fighting game anyways and to be honest i don’t see him bashing 3s that much. the sirlinistas, viscunt, james chen, etc… are some of the ones that have bashed the game pretty harshly and openly more than wizard. just let it go and let them hate.

Honestly if you play Sean you are a masochist.

Fixed. Mostly because Twelve has some unique features that no one else in the game has. And because IAD HK -> throw mind-fucks people more than driving on a two-lane highway with your left signal on the whole way. Sean just wishes it was 2nd Impact until he runs out of lifebar.
