Mr. Robot

yeah my bad you put more down there than I thought. I skipped over it the first time. Not wanting to see up to date stuff in here after that, I was a few episodes behind, and didn’t go back to it.

With Darlene though he didn’t even look at her in the Polaroid, she was cut out of the frame too lol

I started watching this series at the beginning of the week and I’m now caught up. After watching this latest episode I think I’m gonna go back and rewatch it all over again :open_mouth:

This show is so god damn good, hngggggggggggggh

^This nigga’s avatar is perfect for what went down last episode.

“DID YOU KNOW!?” Grabs camera and throws it to the ground.

Fucking brilliant show.

I mean, they kinda looked alike (probably intentionally now after the fact), but damn. What a mind fuck.

And his dad… wow.

hey

you guys

hey y’all

what if

Tyrell Wellick

you guys

what if he wants to do the same thing Elliot is doing, but just from the height of the industry?

that would be cool…

No, I doubt it.

Really, Tyrell is just…a kid sort of. A lot of times when he’s “composed” he comes off as a guy TRYING to be what he perceives to be an evil douche rather than actually being one. It’s only when he gives into his random madness impulses does he really flip that corner. He’s not as smart as he thinks he is, but he’s dangerous because he has absolutely no impulse control.

But his wife is just SO much worse. At least Tyrell tends to have mild reservations over shit. He’s a terrible man, but this bitch…I can’t even put into words.

Literally every interaction between Elliot and Darlene makes more sense now.

Cracked out on the show today. Outside of people being involved with murder, and somehow their dna, hair, and fingerprints are nowhere to be found, the show is pretty good. Also, shorty with the baby fake, but you left the bloody fork on the counter for all to see. Uhhhhhhhhhhh. I guess all in all, whos gonna question her.

For me this is one of those shows where im into it, but im like, wait, is this going to be 3 seasons of one specific goal, to bring down evil corp, and they somehow always just miss the mark of global economic collapse.

The show reminds me of blacklist without the villain of the week, and their is no big reveal of the plan to await us 2 seasons in. We already know what the goal is, so we’re just watching them stumble there, which so far is fine.

The shows like blacklist meets fight club, meets breaking bad.

If i had no interest in tech though, to at least be mildly amused by that when im questioning other shit, i wouldnt make it past mid season on the show. Its not bad though. I’m waiting for the inevitable plot twist, where this actually isnt just about taking down evil corp to wipe debt clean, and send a clear message.

I like how shorty has almost 200 grand in school debt to be who again. Maybe i forgot what her role is, but are you like the tech manager at a small security firm that gets almost all its revenue from one source? Talk about a single point of failure to invest your career in.

That drake hairline comic comes to mind… ‘oh thats… so cool… sips white wine’

Remember, I know your secret! - good line to Slater pseudo-dad in the car. Thinking he has some leverage.

But Tyrell asked first if their missions aligned, Slaterface not giving him anything - effectively ending the talk, so why agree to the meeting. What did he get out of it, since he’s not trying to gain an ally.

Nobody wants to be the part of the show and followthru that part of no excuse for Gideon, yes I remembered when he hacked him and found him a good dude thru and thru. didn’t need to say it again, buddy. Just notes as written, maybe write them up better, harder when theres no conversation like as a response and I already wrote it once.

Spoiler

elliot is capable
remember how he had an excuse ready on site
routine data check, do you engineers usually get sent out for this job

and he wasnt lost in his train of thought or under the influence, lucid
so he is always quick thinking, but chose not to give his boss a reason

Steel Mountain bathroom ducking out - Tyrell DGAF puke sink lol - not like Elliot took the time to clean it
he thinks his weakness is revenge
driven by human banalities

that doesn’t apply anymore, Tyrell is in chaos, so if he wanted to expose Elliot as the Terry Colby hacker, his first words to Elliot in the bathroom, it would’ve been to Gideon then and there, lets hope that doesn’t become the plot, a weaker one with The Dark Army ready to go now.

Cinematography, lite stuff,
2 framing things, anybody else see these, everything done on purpose these were too

Spoiler

  1. police on TV on the flatscreen at the loft

when the detectives came in the house

It was too blurry to see the news captions, but of course that wasn’t the point. Maybe a bit of impending, and just directly referencing what Tyrell is looking at - looking past the detectives flanking eachside next to him if he would stare off he will look directly - into that - and thinking of his dire straits when he had no plan for this, and is all messed up. He’s not ready and carried it with him all day, having interruptions and didn’t have time to formulate anything. Didn’t even tell his wife but she was ready even if that kinda makes no sense.

What’s with them having a kid anyway while being - ‘omg the Americans, just like that show, Russian Spies!!’

I didn’t hear what he said to his wife when she asked directly, what, when Tyrell got loopy over Elliot. Gotta act those things out sure but still be clear. [TV/cable lacking closed captioning these days shitsux for times like this]

So he was told something in that inn-car meeting with Mr. Robot.

You know what is more mind boggling, WTF-AKUMA-HAX making coherent posts :o

But how many insightful posts do you have in this topic

Without voicing an opinion, we can just decide your fate for you.

The Furious One is named as such because he Furiously masturbates to Episode 3, the One gay sex scene.

*Yup, not to mention him expressing himself so freely to Mr. Robot was extremely, extremely out of character at that point in the show. We didn’t start to really see Elliot develop socially until around episode 5. *

*My guess is that Mr. Robot went there so that he could have the upper hand over Tyrell. You mentioned later in your post that Tyrell emasculated Elliot during the bathroom scene. Tyrell showed himself to be the dominant person and overwhelmed Elliot in every sense of the word. It wasn’t until Elliot spoke with Mr Robot about Tyrells flaws and telling him to attack those flaws in the future that Elliot started to gain some confidence back.

Fast forward to now, Mr. Robot is the one that meets with Tyrell. Mr. Robot is the logical, rational side of Elliot who is far more put together and “in control” of encounters with other people. Mr Robot showing up to the meeting is probably a set up to Elliot/Robot eventually having the upper hand on Tyrell in their next meeting. The mere fact that Tyrell was almost begging Mr. Robot to help him gives away part of Tyrells desperation and true intent. Once Mr. Robot/Elliot finds out about the murder it will be absolutely spectacular.

Another thing I was thinking about is that “us” Elliots imaginary friend is going to play quite a role in all of this eventually. The scene where Elliot slowed down time and talked to “us” made me think that his “imaginary friend” is another part of his psyche. Not just a way to tell the narrative. The last episode was about “time” and how we as humans are constantly are put up against it, which is true, but it made me think a little deeper about time in the context of the show. We get time lapses of Elliot doing one thing and then doing another. I’ve come to speculate that the majority of those cuts is actually the points in time where Elliot goes from Elliot to Mr. Robot.

Scenes with Mr. Robot, but no Elliot, is very rare and used only when the narrative needs to be pushed in a certain direction. That’s counter to the focus of Elliot being the narrator in the story, and the established norm of Elliot doing something and Mr. Robot being an onlooker or gently pushing him in a single direction. However there’s things like the 1 month time skip that makes me think that during that time Mr. Robot became the dominant personality while Elliot sat back and mourned. I think there’s plenty of other moments in the show that i’m forgetting that plays into this new found theory of mines as well. *

*Oh right before I get. On the question of “Why” Elliot potentially created Mr. Robot I think it’s so that he could finally repay his dad for all the help he gave to him in life, not revenge. Think back to episode 1 and 2 where it was Mr. Robot actively trying to recruit Elliot to join the fold of Fsociety. Mr. Robot was the one running operations until then, until he tested Elliot with the hack of Allsafe and seeing what Elliot would do. Elliot took it upon himself to actively start helping them after Mr. Robot convinced.

There’s a line during Elliots talk with his shrink when he’s telling her the truth about what he’s been doing, “I’ve helped alot of people”. In Elliots mind he has been trying to help people, was he also a voyeur? Absolutely yes. But his two main reasons for doing what he has been doing is that he could stop feeling lonely and to try and help people. In the first scene of Mr. Robot he calls the police on a pedophile, that’s our first introduction to Elliot.

It’s no secret that Elliot has felt bad for "betraying’ his father and has wanted to make amends with that for years. It wasn’t until he created Mr. Robot, lived as him for who knows what length of time, and finally when he let them cross paths Elliot was on the path to helping his father reach his goal. He would be the one helping and supporting his father for once instead of the other way around.

Oh yeah, Darlene said “You’ve forgotten again?”. This isn’t the first, and probably not the 2nd time, that this has happened to “Elliot” and her.

Earlier in the show Elliot was befuddled by how Darlene was able to find out where he lived, denoting the fact that he probably has moved quite a few times and keeps his sister out of the loop going back even before fsociety days. **

Also, there was NO information whatsoever on the internet about “Elliot Alderson”.** Which could mean a few things. “Elliot” is indeed his real first name but “Alderson” is not, Alderson which is funnily enough “Anderson” with a L instead of the letter N (Hi Matrix fans). Or it could have been that Elliot had his last name changed at some point(s) in his life. Like say if his mother got remarried and forced him to get his name changed, or if younger Elliot had his mothers Maiden name due to his mom and dad not being married.

I’m stating that because when he met White Rabbit Rose he introduced himself as “Elliot Alderson”, which struck me incredibly strange.*

its funny he doesn’t even have a hacker name [he doesnt log in anywhere as Mr.Robot either]

Maybe he’s earning one by coming out of the shadows, making his name with this big move.

That Doc and Marty Halloween picture. :star: wubba lubba dub dub

Will probably have them go visit an old childhood home, when Elliot is not Super High and talking to the ghost of neighbors girls and shit this week.

Finally, we’re getting to the bottom of things.

Hey, it’s not like we all didn’t see it coming. It’s more the understanding that this isn’t the first time something like this HAS happened to him.
