Saw “The Lion King (2019” on the plane coming back from Maui.
I am still trying to understand how they took a practically perfect film with the same general story beats, make it longer and suck all the soul out of it.
I don’t “hate” it like Beauty and the Beast, but just want the universe to answer one simple question (outside of money), WHY?!?!?!?!?

Coincidentally the original movie cam on the other night on Freeform (which seems to be some Disney adjacent channel). It just makes the new version look like Walmart’s Great Value brand in new packaging.
