"Movie And A Show" Thread: Popcorn Optional

Watched “Tag” last night. It’s a surprisingly good comedy. The fact that it really is based on a true story is hilarious on its own.

The Gallows has to be one of the worst found footage style scare films ever…the fact that a sequel was made baffles me.

A movie about Gary Hart…cool.

Pretty impressive VFX breakdown

Tom Cruise is like a Shane McMahon/ Jeff Hardy. You know, lots of risks…

saw john wick and deadpool 2 last couple days.

is josh brolin in every marvel movie nowadays?

watched Fallout and was pleased with the action scenes. Cavill’s character was a little too predictable though. Still good stuff, better than the last couple MI movies

Has anyone seen the end/last episode of Adventure Time?

Halloween Trailer 2…

I can’t believe its coming out October 19 and I am beyond thrilled. It seems to have the same style of camerawork and suspense build up as the original Carpenter films. It even has Jamie Lee Curtis reprising her role as Laurie Strode. After Resurrection and Rob Zombie’s take on Halloween I and II, I thought the franchise was dead, but its back with a vengeance. This might be the first movie in ages that I am going to go to the theatre for. I am so excited!!!

In 1998 we had Halloween H20: 20 Years Later

Saw it for 1 dollar in the an army movie theater when it came out…

Should we do “michael myers vs jason voorhees vs freddy krueger” movie

I would never watch such a shameless crossover for more than a dollar. However, I do love watching ‘Halloween H20’ every so often. Not the best in the series, but definitely up there.

Jedidiah would fuck all them up.

Peppermint movie is good…

Did anyone see the Nun? I’m waiting for the next Halloween movie but the Nun looks interesting.

I’ve heard it’s terrible, mate said if you like jump scares then it will be your bag, but if you are hoping for something well written and intelligent avoid.

Saw Searching yesterday, great movie, hit me in the feels early on, not a dull moment which is really surprising since everything you see is through a type of screen, be it cell phone, webcam or TV broadcast.

I prefer the menacing ‘Tall Man’ from ‘Phantasm’ portrayed by the late Angus Scrimm myself.

This scene is just under 7 minutes long, but seems longer/better than movies today…

Someone wote:

“Many movies of my childhood have now lost all their charm - being silly, terribly dated etc. But not this. This movie scares the shit out of me just like it did 25 years ago.”

T6 coming out???
