Dude, Alpha 3 was my game. I ruined 3 copies of it playing it too much on Dreamcast. V-Ism Cody all day. But we can play CvS2 and some Alpha 3 if you want. I’m just saying we don’t have to focus completely on SF4.

hahaha, I think you got it backwards. The Dreamcast ruined alpha 3, not you. Out of the saturn, DC and PS1 back in the day, the Dreamcast version played terrible compared to the others. The saturn version is supposed to be the most accurate of the 3, but I’ve never played on it.

Mr. Sagat- the thing you linked me to was hooked up via HDMI and had Game Mode on. IIRC, you didn’t use HDMI and you said there was no game mode.

The tv does have game mode, but game mode only changes color settings, it doesn’t manipulate post processing. Cicada has tested it both ways. So the delay is the same. I should have turned on game mode to give a placebo effect to the players, so they’d have one less excuse when Edison ripped them.
The component/hdmi thing is a moot point. The only time a tv has different delays depending on connections is when a specific input bypasses post processing, like vga on some tvs.
It really does suck that I have to work Wednesday nights. We’ll have to get something set up for this weekend.

I’m certainly not saying it is true of your TV, but there technically could be a difference between component vs HDMI. Since it is a digital display, when using component video there would have to be an analog to digital conversion of the signal. I highly doubt it would add any extra lag, but it is possible
I may not have seen it right, but when I looked at the setup before it was unhooked I could have sworn it was actually using composite cables (480i), not even component. Maybe that’s what the problem was.
