Speaking of handing out beat downs with Rose, that’s actually what I did this weekend at MidSouthCon. Took third in the tournament, met some cool cats, and spread the word about A.R.K. coming up.
In another related note, I got some of the Memphis area peeps contact information in case we ever want to try and get together and have an interstate show down. That would be awesome.
I also won drink the beer now that I think about. Could explain the exhaustion.

Dude. Don’t even sweat it, man. I had a great time also. Thanks to you and your family (and fiancee) for being great hosts and having great food. Too bad you got sick, or we probably could’ve done more stuff. I kinda wanted to see that ITG2 machine before I headed out, but there’s always T-Town throwdown haha. Anyway, next time things’ll be different since you won’t drop so many ultras. I’ll let people up here know to watch out for your secret main (Rose).

Plinking vs. Double Tapping: Short synopsis from that thread: They each have their advantages, but one-frame links are easier with plinking while 2 frame links are easier with double-tapping. Plinking’s probably an easier technique to learn how to do and gives 2 inputs in 2 frames while double-tapping gives 2 inputs in 3 frames.
EDIT: Please come to the meet-up this Wednesday. I’ll have fliers for anybody who wants them. I’ll just print out a stack (a few hundred of each) and you can just grab however many you think you’ll need. If anybody wants to drop by earlier than that, feel free to let me know and I’ll go print them off sooner and just hand them to you. I get free printing on campus, so don’t bother wasting ink or money printing too many of these fliers off yourself unless you just want to.
So I got the fight stick art installed, and it looks amazing for the first go at it. I’ll post images when I get them, but I am sure alot of you will see it tomorrow ^_^.
I have a question however, put it to a vote if you wish!
Do we want to use a “Trophy” graphic for the first place prize voucher, or do we want to set it up as the winner gets to make his own custom graphic? Either way works for me. It would probably be ready after a few days or so (depending on whats going on around that time) and can be mailed out if you live a bit far. Our store is a fedex drop off point, so I can just ship it out to where-ever, or you can get it at the next meeting if your part of the central crew. Zen and I talked about it, and we figured we could base it off the flier if you guys wanted to do a trophy (what do you think Ish?).
Also, if you guys are interested enough in these graphics, and theres enough of you, we can probably get some metallic coating to put under the graphics, like the MvC2 stick. This thing is pretty nice without it, but still… Gold Metallic ARK Champion Graphic… or whatever 0.0
Unless I can magically get off work tomorrow, I’m not going to be able to show up… I figure it will be nice to give you guys a break from me kicking your asses.
Hmmm… I’m not sure. Everyone probably needs to vote on this. I think the trophy idea is more symbolic for our tourney, but I think people would be more likely to be interested in a custom graphic. I dunno. What does everyone think?
