Mounting an LS-32-01 to a JLF-P1?

Looking to buy an AllFightSticks case but it comes preinstalled with a JLF-P1 mount but I play with an LS-32. I currently have a LS-32-01 and would like to use in the case but I don’t know if it can be mounted correctly. It fits perfectly in my TE2+ but I know it’s built for the SS plate that is installed on my LS-32-01. If anyone knows what mounts I need or the process to make my LS-32 connect to a JLF-P1, please let me know!

Thanks!

The flat plate LS-32 lines up with the standard JLF mount IIRC.

I am assuming this is the plate you have in your current stick?

Also, this could be another option if you want to take out any guess work.

Wonderful this looks like exactly what I needed to know! I’ll just take the SS plate off my 32, mount this plate, and it should connect to the JLF-P1. Correct?

Thanks!

Only one mounting plate is needed. It’s an either/or scenario, so if you don’t have a JLF, you don’t need the JLF plate at all. This is maintained on the AFS case. Here’s the problem:

Yes, with a flat plate that’s universal either from Paradise Arcade Shop or Kowal it will physically amount to the case. The problem is the mounting height for the shaft. The LS–32 already is a short shaft joystick, and putting it into a stick that typically uses a JLF mounting plate scenario may make it very very shallow and hard to use ( without an SS plate which wedges the joystick body against the control panel). With the orientation of the main case top cutout, I’m not even sure if an SS plate would even mount flat.

You can definitely use a flat plate, just be aware that the mounting height for the shaft may not be ideal

Shaft extenders are available, but may make the throw feel off: https://www.focusattack.com/seimitsu-ls-32-16mm-shaft-extender/

I tried one of those. “Off” is definitely an understatement :smirk:
