MOTW Is Coming

Quoted for truth.

Awesome! I love this game. Used to have the arcade machine in my house back in college. Man, its going down. Seeing how long KOF98UM’s been taking though, I’m guessing this will go down in 2011.

I wouldn’t worry about it too much, later generation 360’s are a lot more reliable, especially elites. Im not saying that you should suddenly feel justified in purchasing one now, but the situation has gotten a lot better. Also Iim sure you have noticed by now that a huge amount of players here on SRK play on 360 for both Remix and IV, I don’t expect those numbers to go down for lesser downloadable releases. Just a thought.

i’m no fanboy of any system but i have a shitty xbox3shitty with E74 failure. that’s the second one i’ve got. the first one had drive problems with broken plastic. too much money invested into the damn thing so i guess i’m keeping it and lucky me, garou is coming out for it. hopefully more people will find out about this game and play it.

i’ve played it on ggpo but i don’t know what i’m doing. maybe when it’s released for 360 i’ll pick it up and learn it.

http://www.xbox.com/ja-JP/games/g/garouxboxlivearcade/ Just something worth looking at, oh and it seems these guys have a bit more info from what I’ve read http://www.snk-capcom.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31352

…ftw

Scratches head Umm wouldn’t 360 users who play online in Japan ONLY would have not net connection problems or any of the sort?

That’s awesome. I’ve noticed that Garou has had a pretty nice scene the last 2-3 years from guys like Noc and Giby and Howard Arena. I love the hell out of that game to be honest more than SF3.

OMG so hype. This is a great year for fighters. I can’t wait.

And Japan’s networking systems are beyond ours speedwise. They can probably play whatever with mediocre netcode and do awesome.

And the argument that HDRemix set a standard for retail fighters is a good one, but not even Capcom followed their own example.

Ya beat me to it. I’d +1 rep ya if I knew how.

Had this on DC when it came out, can’t wait to play a real version of it tho’. I just hope the netcode isn’t like SS2. That was almost as bad as playing fighting games online with the PS3 :wasted:

Damn this game came out 10 years ago. I really hope fighting games make a come back we need some new games out there. Once I get my HTPC up i am getting GGPO.

Good news for those who don’t have GGPO or 2DF.

(Awesome game, but nobody plays it)

I would but I can’t stand playing most console and arcade games on my laptop. Maybe if I had a nice rig set up or something, but as for right now, this is the only way i’m going to be getting back into the game. There should be plenty of people who feel the same way and flock to this game to bring in some fresh blood.

I know i’ll be there.

I’m a little dumbfounded by people that claim that messing with a PC is hard. Maybe back in the day, but today it couldn’t be easier. You download the emulator (in this case 2DF or GGPO, if you’re still confused go and Google it), then you download the roms (Go to Google once again), download the roms you want plus bios and save them to a specific folder. Open emulator, config it to you’re desires and set the rom path to the folder with the roms. You’re done.

If you cannot figure that out, than you must be mentally retarded. I mean, you can just Google this shit, and you can find thousands of helpful pages that take you step by step through this shit. There is no excuse.

Anyway. Garou is one of the most balanced, fun, fluidly animated, and easiest to pick up fighters ever. I would say it’s even better than 3rd Strike for new players, and those still getting accustomed to fighters. The moves and supers are easy to pull off, and the characters are very balanced. Excluding Grant, but there’s been some debate with him and his Tier status.

Very accessible game, a lot of fun, highly recommended. It has made my top 5 Fighters list which is:

1: Garou
2: 3rd Strike
3: KOF 98
4: SS V Special
5: Super Smash Bros (that shit is hardcore YO! CURLY MUSTACHE AND SUCH)
